In brief, BURWOOD PRESTIGE CARS is a consignment agency, fully licensed under the Motor Traders Act. We work on an exclusive consultancy base with our clients who are private owners. Their vehicles are consigned at our registered place of business; Burwood Prestige Cars (Sydney NSW) for a minimum period of five weeks.

Consigning your car gives you, the owner a much higher return than selling your vehicle to a licensed dealer. You retain ownership and control during the entire process, plus your vehicle has maximum exposure in a safe and secure facility and is available to buyers when they wish to see it. Well for starters, we do not buy your car, so we do not have any of the financial costs associated with such. We are also not encumbered with any of the other costs of ownership which include servicing and maintenance, registration and insurance etc. As you are the owner, these remain your responsibilities.
Many of the vehicles we consign are late model, low kilometer units, so they are sought by the business buyer who benefits from claiming the GST proportion. As a licensed dealer, we are able to construct a tax invoice, inclusive of such, which automatically gives us a 10% advantage over the private seller of the same vehicle. If the sale is one of a private nature then the vehicle is sold GST inclusive to the end user as ownership passes from one private owner to the next.

BURWOOD PRESTIGE CARS provide the facility for the exposure of your prestige car at no direct charge to the consignee. We also provide the administration, ongoing cleaning and sales expertise to get the job done. Your costs are online marketing, professional detailing and supplying a full tank of fuel. These charges may vary slightly, according to your vehicle type.

Administration Fee: $395. 00

Prestige Dealer Detail: Sedan, Hatchback, Coupe and Convertible: $195. 00

Ute, SUV and 4WD: $295. 00

All online Advertising: $205. 00 (Carsales, Carsguide, Drive, YouTube, Gumtree, Facebook)

Fuel: A Full Tank for Test drives & Daily Starting

LEGALITIES AND PAPERWORK

In NSW, it is a requirement of law, that the consigned vehicle must be located, during the consignment period, at the business premises of the consignee. Bearing this in mind, consignment may not suit some owners if they require their vehicle on a day to day basis. Our consignment period is for minimum of four weeks for the agreed value on the contract, however after the four weeks expires, and upon mutual consultation and agreement by email, there will be no time limit for your vehicle with Burwood Prestige Cars, we will bring you the very best offers on the day for your approval. Prior to your vehicle being placed with Burwood Prestige Cars, there is some paperwork which needs to be completed including a jointly signed consignment agreement. Naturally we will need a copy of your licence and registration papers. Plus, if you have a payout on your vehicle, we will also need a letter from your financial institution.
