Bush Lapa Australia - East Coast

We brought Conqueror and Metalian to Australia and learnt valuable lessons - now its time for the market leader to set a new standard - Enter Bush Lapa off-road caravans

Challenge accepted. . . . . Find a caravan with ten years proven off-road ability, that can sleep 4 people and weighs less than a tonne…. . add in requirements such as a fully enclosed awning, hot water, 90 litre fridge freezer – and preferably rust resistant – such as stainless steel construction.

A tall order – and we battled to find suitable Australian made options. So we again looked at our off-road neighbours in South Africa – but this time it is for their market leader. To rise above the other well designed and high quality products produced in South Africa is an endorsement by itself.

That is where Bush Lapa comes in – South Africa’s best off-road caravan brand. We’ve been working with Jannie Oeschger and his team since 2009 to bring the Bush Lapa’s to Australia, and after a number of visits to the factory to discuss the Australian specific requirements, the first ones are here and ready for your inspection.

We have three models available, each with its own variations and optional items.

The original – and most compact – is the Hooper (known as Miskruier in South Africa). This unit weighs only 880kg and can be ordered in either 2, 3 or 4 sleeper configurations, with a large list of standard included and optional items.

The next unit up is the Baobab which typically sleep 4 people and again have different configurations. Even this unit weighs only 1090 kg…
The largest one – and one of the few off-road caravans that can sleep up to six people inside – is the Badger.

So not only challenge accepted – but raised to a 6 sleeper… that weighs less than 1140kg….
