The Iron Horse Inn is a top pub. Actually, before I went, I did a bit of a read up on the history of the pub. Even back in the day it was regarded as a well attended public bar. We had a feed whilst we were in there and we had ourselves a massive big plate of chicken parmigiana. The size of the parmys are frighteningly huge. I haven't seen a parmy that big since I once went to Melbourne. The selection to choose from is quite a broad range. The bar room is a typical working mans type area. So if you regard yourself as a bit of a hoity toity type person, the public bar probably isn't your cup of tea. But then again, I'd more than likely say that the Iron Horse Inn wouldn't be the sort of establishment that would appeal to you anyway. That's alright. Myself and the rest of the working class are more than happy to have a beer in there. And a massive parmy as well. Horses for courses I suppose. The next time I'm in the Cardiff area, I'll definitely head to the Iron Horse Inn and have couple of beers. It's a bloody good pub.
