At the heart of our educational program is the appreciation of the need to prepare the children for life in the 21st century.

We strive to assist each child become socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually competent.
We support each child as s /he learns to become a contributing member of the community.
We respect and guide each child’s need to acquire the skills and knowledge to construct meaning in a complex world.
A respect for self, others and the environment further informs our educational approach.

Individual learning styles are acknowledged and respected.
Each classroom has its own identity and style.
The school community works to achieve balance and harmony within this dynamic.
The skills of self-organisation, goal setting and conflict resolution are valued and developed as the child moves through the school.

A wide variety of strategies, methods and techniques are used to support learning.

Within the classroom teachers aim to develop programs that cater for the specific needs of all students. We employ a learning support teacher and learning support assistant to support them with this task. To further cater for the individual we currently employ the following specialist staff:

Drama and Performing Arts Coordinator
Visual Arts Specialist Teacher
LOTE—Spanish Teacher
Music Tutor
Teacher’s Assistant: Years 1—6
Library Administrator
We also engage the services of the Northern River Conservatorium Arts Centre and other external providers to run an instrumental music program and regularly engage specialist dance, gymnastics and music teachers or contractors.
