The Caledonian Society and Donau Rhein Verein are clubs for persons of Celtic descent and German, Austrian or Swiss descent and their friends respectively

Donau Rhein Verein is a club for persons of German, Austrian or Swiss descent and their friends. We conduct an annual Oktoberfest and Weihnachtsmarkt and meet bi-monthly for cultural events. Our larger events are held at the Glen Innes Masonic centre and our smaller club nights are held at History House. We maintain a small dance group and choir. We raise funds for local charities and in 2015 donated $750. 00 to the local hospital for their fundraising for a helicopter pad and $200. 00 to History House for their kitchen upgrade. We sponsor a $1000. 00 per annum Best New Celtic Talent Award during the local Australian Celtic Festival.
