About Canberra Body Works

Arrived at 0700 to find the premises open. Was meet by a friendly gentleman who arranged to have my vehicle brought out of the workshop. I thought I was too early and to my surprise was catered for very quickly and was on my way. No complaints at all. Would recommend this business to one and all. Initially I was told my car would be ready on the 9th of October and to your word it was. Cheers and thank you.

[Updated since owners reply] So far I have not had a good experience with Canberra body works. They damaged my car in the process of doing repairs to the body and were lazy in their work. I spoke to them about fixing the problems they caused and they were very reluctant to accept responsibility. I am currently talking to my insurance company to find a new repairer as I am no longer willing to trust Canberra body works.

(UPDATE) To give more insight into what actually went wrong with the repair I will explain the damage and then the malpractice performed by the repairer. My car was struck on the rear of the cabin and top of the tray headboard(being a ute), this caused the roof to crumple and destroyed the headliner > They replaced the headliner and insulation but failed to install the part correctly. This resulted in the head liner being damaged from using the sun visor, it also caused the headliner to sag in the middle where it meets the interior light. When I pointed this out to one of the workers at the shop I was told that they used "genuine Ford parts" and that they would not be willing replace the damaged parts on their behalf. All though this was a response to my question it was not an answer, genuine parts are to expected not bragged about when your insurance company has paid the repairer well over five thousand dollars.
To continue, a parts legitimacy (OEM part) does not define the workmanship thats goes into the installation. Perhaps if the part was not genuine and had been installed properly it is more than likely I never would have noticed. This is only an example of one of the places where Canberra Body Works failed to correctly repair my vehicle.

Since speaking with Canberra Body Works I have spoken to an independent insurance assessor who has gone over the car and written out a list of errors in reparation to the vehicle, the headliner being included. The car is now scheduled for work to be done to correct the bad work. And in response to the repairers reply; No I do not plan on selling my vehicle, I find it strange that you assume my intentions in doing with my property when I would never discuss this with someone I don't know, let alone trust.

P.S. Dear repairer, would love to know which issues I outlined that you think are unrelated? Was it the pile of smashed glass that you left in my back seat?? Or perhaps the taillight that you cracked when reinstalling after painting??

I can not fault Canberra Body Works..from day one they got my car back to being able to drive it with the help of cable ties. They promised the car in 4 days and delivered. I got the car back in perfect condition and spotless as well. Staff were great. Thanks and keep up the great work...
