Cancer Council Darts Challenge

About Cancer Council Darts Challenge

The Penrith Darts Challenge puts local businesses and individuals against cancer survivors raising awareness and funds for the fight against cancer in men.

Cancer Council Darts Challenge Description

How it works:
1. Local businesses and individuals purchase a corporate package or individual ticket to participate in the darts competition raising awareness and funds for the fight against cancer in men.

2. Each business or individual is then encouraged to challenge their closest local competitor or ‘arch nemesis’ to a corporate game of darts (or not) where the winner takes ultimate bragging rights. The looser of this round generously donates $500 to Cancer Council NSW.

3. Everyone likes you more when you’re alive and kicking. So Aussie Blokes we ask that you speak up about your health, and make sure your mates speak up about it too!

Cancer Council NSW is Australia's peak national non-government cancer control organisation. By actively engaging with communities across the country, our mission is to defeat cancer in many ways: reducing cancer risk and incidence; increasing awareness on early detection; and improving care, treatment and support for people affected by cancer.

Why Darts?
Every year more men die of cancer than women. Men are 84% more likely than women, to die of preventable cancers that are common to both sexes. That’s around 6, 900 more Australian men than women – and many of these deaths are avoidable.

This is a Penrith event organised by Cancer Council Penrith in partnership with Gaels Cultural and Sporting Association, and Nepean Blue Mountains Prostate Cancer Support Group.
