Awesome live music pub. Cool décor and pretty grungy as well. Great selection of beers and allround awesome vibe.

Don't stay here. Absolute trash. Bed big ridden. Dirty. Nasty. Not worth the stay, go to Rooftop Travellers.

Reviewing on behalf of a fellow Glory supporter who was singled out from the rest of us, deemed "intoxicated" and forced to leave. If the bouncer had have talked to us like they're supposed to, we could have given an alternative explanation for his animated talking or whatever the problem was. Like maybe that he was from Melbourne and not familiar with the requirement in Sydney CBD to not be slightly animated or passionate about football because it will be interpreted as intoxication. Thanks for ruining his weekend trip away, A-hole.

The place is not even worth $15/night cause you can barely sleep. The mettras is thin like a paper. I felt like I was a steak on the grill tray, each steel bed frame pressed strongly my back. Once the bar live music finally finish at midnight, there comes some over-excited travelers keep partying until maybe 5h (do not know where exactly in the hostel, anyway you can hear their music clearly in your room). With the noisy of cars, you will feel that the night is even longer than the day cause you can't sleep but there is nothing you can do... Even more tired the second day when I m out of there.

A good place to go for a stopover for the SCG & Footy stadium

The hostel is awful. I went in some other hostels before but never awful like this one. The mattress is very thin so you can feel the metallic structure of the bed when you sleep. I asked to the reception twice to have sheets... The room smells bad and you can hear easily the road. Worst hostel in the world...

excellent food, great live music. Parking can be a little bit of a struggle sometimes, but it's worth it!

Stopped for a quick drink this afternoon. Only 1 bar person serving, who was on the phone. Didn't acknowledge us and just stayed on the phone. We waited 5 mins and left. Disappointing to say the least. Went to the 3 Weeds instead, much happier experience !!

Bouncer was poorly trained in his job and customer service. We walked in a designated entrance and was told to walk around to the other side of the hotel. Zero common sense. I was there to eat and leave, not drink. Food was average at best. Small portions and salad was an sfter thought for them.

Their bistro food is the best i ever had in sydney and its cheap. If you want good food in cheap price you must visit this place

The is quite vibrant but the rooms are hard to find.

Well appointed clean comfortable parking around the back free and convenient. My first time staying in a hotel. Could hear the music from the bar until closing. Good Value. Room in good condition and spotless.

The Captain Cook Hotel is the place to visit in Botany. The staff are friendly and the food is great :)

The rooms and internet were really good.It is a little weird checking in through the bar but that was fine.

Nice outdoor dining area with lots of seating in the rear section of the venue. The food was cheap and well worth the price.

Decent room size, very good WiFi with stable connection, relatively clean, but no washcloth or hand towel, somewhat noisy with bar and restaurant in courtyard below. Also cigarette smoke somehow gets into the room from people smoking outside. Great location with supermarket and dining nearby.

I only briefly entered it for 1 drink but it was fine. Standard pub with a relaxed vibe.

It has finally happened, President Phil’s reign over the Captain Cook Game Fishing Club has come to an end as he returns home to NZ. Pop in for a drink to say good bye to feisty Phil. The president will be passing on the curse of getting sea sick and catching no fish to a new president. To be nominated you must buy Phil a beer or two.
