About Carillon Theatrical Society Inc

The Carillon Theatrical Society is a community based amateur theatre company that has been entertaining the Bathurst region for almost six decades.

Carillon Theatrical Society Inc Description

The beginnings of what was ultimately to become the Carillon Theatrical Society can be traced back to the arrival of Victor Bindley to Bathurst in 1957. Vic came to Bathurst with a reputation of considerable expertise in film and stagecraft and it wasn't long before he was known for his love of theatre. Vic was instrumental in the formation of the first committee where he was joined by Jack Lasky, Alex Alexander, Don Marky, Dolly Mackinnon and Sid Hardy to discuss the proposal of the society's first production, a musical. . .
In the Autumn of 1958, the very successful season of Gregory's 'Maid of the Mountains' was performed at the Masonic Hall. . (CTS, The First Twenty Five Years, 1983).
And the rest they say is History! !

Carillon Theatrical Society Inc (CTS) is a proud member of the Association of Community Theatre https://www. facebook.com/AssociationOfCommunityTheatreInc
