Carine is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and the International Association of Clinical Neurospychotherapy (MIACN).

Carine holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from the UNSW and a First Class Honours in Psychological Sciences from ACAP. Carine has also received intensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy intervention from the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC-SP).

Currently she is a PhD candidate with RTP scholarship from the UNSW - Faculty of Medicine (Public Health).

Carine is interested in:
Life transitions /adjustment issues, grief & loss, trauma recovery, anxiety and mood disorders, stress and anger management issues, self-image issues and relationship issues.

Carine only uses evidenced-based psychological Interventions:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Schema Therapy, Psychodynamics approaches, and Clinical Neuropsychotherapy.

She is also competent at administering psychometric and medico-legal assessments.

Carine strives to meet individual needs by using a warm and empathetic approach based on respect and a strong therapeutical alliance. Her focus is on fostering resilience and psychological growth.

Carine has over 12 years experience working across the private, public and the community services sectors; and she is competent working with people from culturally and linguistic diverse backgrounds.

Carine is a published researcher and provides psychological services under Medicare, WorkCover, CTP and Private Health Funds. She is also a SIRA approved assessor of permanent impairment for mental and behaviour disorders in relation to CTP claims.
