Keep Calm & Breastfeed - Infant Feeding In Emergencies

What is Toxic Erythema in newborns? Those little red spots, almost blister like, that appear out of nowhere and disappear just as quickly, this condition often puzzles or alarms parents of a new baby, the definitive cause has not been established but it is extremely common and may be linked with an infants immune response to their new environment. The spots are considered completely harmless and will go without treatment, however if they persist or you have any concerns about your baby’s health please ask your Doctor to examine your baby.

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with 25 years of continuous certification and experience, I am also a Reg. Nurse & Reg. Midwife (AHPRA), a Child & Family Health Nurse (Tresillian) and hold post graduate qualifications in the Management of Lactation & Infant Feeding (UTS) and Adult Education (UTS).

Medicare Rebates now apply to both Ante-Natal and Post-Natal Visits up until your baby is 6 weeks old (Not exceeding 7 weeks of age) and following this your ancillary (Extras) Health Fund Rebates often apply. My fee is based on $100.00 per hour and Home Visits include up to 50kms return travel.

Caroline helped me within a matter of minutes to get my newborn to latch and breast feed. Unfortunately I didn’t get the support I needed from hospital and was discharged without my baby latching. Caroline was warm, supportive and really made me feel comfortable. Caroline helped us breastfeed and latch when multiple midwives couldn’t or was just slamming my babies head into my breasts which was distressing for us both. Caroline’s approach was totally different and both me and my baby were relaxed and enjoyed the process. I have been able to exclusively breast feed since Caroline came to my home. I think it’s great that she can do home visits and her knowledge/wisdom extends beyond breast feeding. Caroline helped us immensely and we can’t thank her enough. I highly recommend Caroline if you have any breast feeding issues. Best money we have ever spent!!! Thank you Caroline!!!
