Catholic Earthcare

As an executive agency for the Australian Catholic Bishop's Conference, Catholic Earthcare's mission is to promote the understanding that creation is sacred and endangered, and must be protected and preserved for present and future generations. OUR WORK: Catholic Earthcare acts as an advisory agency to the Bishops Commission for Justice, Ecology and Development on ecological matters, including the safeguarding of creation, environmental justice and ecological sustainability. At the heart of Catholic Earthcare's mandate is our education, research and advocacy work around 'ecological conversion' or 'ecological awareness'. We invite all people of good will to safeguard the integrity of creation, protect Earth's fragile ecosystems and provide a voice for communities and victims of environmental degradation, injustice and pollution. To achieve this, we facilitate formation programmes across Australia that enable individuals and organisations to reflect upon and transform their individual and collective understanding of leadership, ecology and sustainability. Neen - National Energy Efficiency Network: Catholic Earthcare recently received funding from the Australian Government's EEIG programme to launch a National Energy Efficiency Network that provides community and not-for-profit organisations with credible energy efficiency information and the opportunity to connect and collaborate in a way that will ultimately make it more resilient and sustainable into the future.
