Has been under going badly need renovations. Not sure if the improvements are all for the best.
1. Previously white walls and ceilings are now black. Why so dark at venue near the beach?
2. The name change to Caves Coastal Bar & Bungalows does not sound like somewhere you would take the kids for lunch or dinner.
3. Tuesday Nights - before the renovations was spice night always had consistently excellent curries at reasonable prices. On top of that there is now no trivia that night either.
Nov 2017 - recent renovation looking great. Fabulous location. Food is good, a bit above average hotel pricing, but location & new improved decor makes it worthwhile. Indoor & outdoor dining. Ocean views. Lounge areas. Function rooms. Reception desk.
Wheelchair access ramp. Lift from carpark as well.
Visited the Caves Beachside Hotel for a family birthday and was impressed by the wonderful location and good meals. The kids enjoyed the covered and enclosed playground and we were able to enjoy the live music proved by a guitarist performing easy listening cover songs. The place was very busy but would definitely recommend for a lazy Sunday afternoon outing or drinks.
Long time for meals, order was mixed up, booking/table was wrong to what was booked and took 3 bowls to get warm gravy, others were completely cold. Food was nice once we got it. The view is what makes the place but service keeps slipping each time we come. Time to find somewhere new I think.
An amazing place. We were there for the long weekend. The two bedroom Villa was perfect for us. With a nice ocean view, we just loved the place. I would recommend it to anyone.
We enjoyed our stay here. Lovely location and limited reception which helps you switch off and enjoy the nature surrounding you, literally at your doorstep!

We just celebrated our surprise wedding at caves beach hotel, with the amazing help of Jess and Liz in the events team. Holy cow, those ladies made the event a dream! They helped us keep the ceremony underwraps until just the right time! Thank you all for a wonderful evening, I can't express how grateful Aidan and I am for your fantastic efforts!!!
We stayed in the resort and were glad that this place was so good and so close. We had a few drinks and dinner here 2 nights and could have easily went back again. The staff were all very friendly and the food was great quality and variety for pub style meals. Pity they weren't doing breakfast though.
As at May 2017 Beautiful location & the style of the modern design building is fabulous. I hope they refurbish as it was great when it first opened. However the decor is very tired & grubby, needs refurbishing. Problem with magpies is causing bird poop indoors & outdoors in the bistro area. Food average. $5 extra for a GF Burger was a bit much.
Decent food but only had green for the veg. Ran out of a beer I paid for but didn't refund the difference for the cheaper beer. Great location and nice staff.
The hotel and bistro has a great layout with amazing views of the beach right outside. I rated 3 stars because unfortunately we didn't have the best dining experience. We booked a table 1 week in advance. When we got there a group of men were sitting at our table that had our name with reservation time. We informed staff we had arrived and that a group had taken our table. We were asked to sit on the couches while they organised something. They didn't ask the men to move even though they didnt have a reservation and we ended up stuck on couches instead of dining. We then got 2 meals quick and cold and the other 2 meals 20 minutes later and cold also. Very disappointing and considering our meals were all around the $30 mark we expect no less then to receive hot meals let alone a table that we reserved.
Beautiful place. Nice atmosphere, excellent location and the customer service was very good. We didn't eat but the two times we ordered drinks at the bar the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks. This would be a nice place for a romantic night away as it is attached to a hotel.
