Central Hotel Shellharbour

I came here hoping to receive a great parma and pasta dish for me and girlfriend whilst travelling interstate. However, the parma was disappointing to say the least with a sauce which tasted canned. The crab and pawn linguine was absolutely inedible, you could not string a piece of pasta together and the sauce was far too sweet. The staff and venue were lovely but the food really let this place down

Very happy with the service But If you want a good feed dont come here .the chicken was small in size and tough .wont be coming back.

I got the food order slightly wrong and they gave me what I meant to order with no problem and no charge. All the food was excellent as always and the beers are great. Wonderful place.

I have tried this hotel 3 times now and i have found the staff to be a little friendly. Not very personable, just serve you and send you on ur way. Food is very average and over priced for a pub. The last time i was there i was with my husband and we were both impeccably dressed as we dined elsewhere for lunch, we were having a game of pool and a few beers, chatting to ourselves and not bothering anyone. Not being lound and then a big over towering man came up to me and asked me if i was ok. He said i was showing signs of intoxication. I was so insulted. I said there was no reason for him to even ask me such a question i wasn't even laughing loud. I guess they must just want the young cround there. Not people in there fifties. I told them to shove there pub and i will never go back there again. Boring worst pub i have ever been to. 👎

My fish of the day was great but my daughter had beef ribs as tough as the old cow they came from a real shame no smoke free gaming room staff was great venue was clean and well presented for a pub

Good tap beers, seating and food. Music downstairs was to loud and could smell smoke from the druggies room. Lost a star for that

Nice open space in the bistro with modern furnishings and simple, comfortable furniture. Large, varied menu with all day pizzas. Air conditioning set at a nice consistent temperature. Service is excellent with warm, friendly staff. Food portions are good if not a little large and quality is some of the best bistro food I've had. Kid friendly with kids menu and kids eat for free with adult meals. If I lived in the area I would frequent this hotel regularly.

Tasty food that is very reasonably priced. Great for a casual lunchtime catch up. Would recommend booking for evenings as it gets quite busy

Decent food, great outdoor deck area.
Kids area is downstairs in what's more like a sports bar area and completely separated from main area which is totally impractical for parents wanting to supervise children while remaining with group or enjoy deck area.
But the biggest problem with this establishment is the blonde she-hitler manager and her power tripping, unprofessional, and unethical behaviour.
Allowing patrons to spend thousands in meals (we were a large group) in the afternoon and then kicking them out at 8pm when she wants to allow new patrons in. And doing so by claiming they are drunk, and then claiming they are abusive when they calmly explain they are not at all drunk (dancing to live entertainment and drunk are not the same thing despite what she thinks), they are actually a breast feeding mother and 100% sober.

Warning do not gamble here this place is disgusting....

Friendly staff. Great food. Great views. I like it. A little pricey though.
