Art is the cornerstone of beauty in life. The education of dance is not just about creating ballerinas, or competition-winning dancers. It nurtures a love of movement, music, language and history. It builds passion in a society that champions nonchalance. It inspires a love of physical movement and the journey it can take us on – both as dancers and audiences.
We believe the skills children develop in dance class will stay with them for life. We, as educators, instil pride, passion and discipline in our students and in return they give the world a beauty; a child who is learning outside of a school room.
The type of learning involved in dance study engages the whole child: physically, emotionally, and intellectually. As a result, it is also an inclusive environment where students with all types of learning styles can have an equal chance for success.

Encouraging safe dance practices, we strive to provide our dancers of all ages and abilities with a safe and happy studio to nurture and develop a love of dance and passion for life.
We have a highly trained faculty who are passionate about dance training to provide the best possible dance education for all students. We offer Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and National Character and our teachers are specialised in the genres they teach to provide the very best training for your child. Students may participate in any combination of these styles and are welcome to try a new style of dance at any time.

We offer casual classes for students who wish to enjoy dance with their friends, and provide more serious training for those who wish to pursue a career in any aspect of the dance world. This includes eisteddfod training, group performances, preparation for professional dance schools and private technical tuition. Most students choose to participate in our annual concert at The Civic Theatre, and we strive to ensure that all dancers are given equal opportunity to showcase their hard word and skills to their friends and family.

At Central School of Dance we believe in a nurturing environment and encourage our senior students to foster relationship with our junior school to both inspire other young dancers, and learn about team work and leadership. As such, our younger dancers look up to our senior students with great respect and our senior students outstanding examples to them, offering advice and guidance. Several senior students are assistant teachers with our baby classes and often perform on stage with them in our end of year concerts.

Central School of Dance offers a state-of-the-art modern facility. We have five fully equipped studios with air-conditioning, sprung floors with Tarkett, full length mirrors and wall mounted barres. We also provide students with a kitchen, dressing rooms, and the studio is equipped with male, female, and disabled bathrooms and comfortable waiting areas for students and parents. Ample parking is provided in our off-street carpark.
