We’re a proud member of the Hunter Valley Wine Country Alliance working group that played a key role in securing this major destination marketing campaign. Local businesses who pledged funding to make this campaign a reality should be proud of their contribution! This collaborative effort has put the Hunter Valley in the spotlight and we look forward to an increase in visitations to our region. How amazing is this place we call home? Here’s to the good life. http://ow.ly/7QZP30lFzXP

Last night the amenity block located on Howe Park at Abermain was very badly damaged in a fire. Thank you to the emergency personnel who attended the scene. Very sad news for the local clubs and the broader community. Council will keep you in the loop when more information is available.

A very special morning at Kurri Kurri Public School. The medals of Pte William Kelly have now been returned to the community. William, a coal miner who lived in Kurri Kurri lost his life fighting for Australia in 1917. For 100 years William has had no known grave or family. The students of Kurri Kurri will keep these medal for safekeeping. Welcome home William.
