Chaplaincy Training Description

Chaplaincy Training is run by Jericho Road in conjunction with Christ College. Two courses are offered through Christ College - an introductory programme aimed at volunteers or those wishing to improve their pastoral care skills and a professional course for those seeking employment as chaplains. Both courses are registered by the Civil Chaplain Advisory Committee(NSW) as meeting the standard of training for chaplains working in Hospitals and prisons.

Rhonda is one of Jericho Road's chaplains and works at Hornsby Hospital . Many smaller hospitals rely on volunteers to provide pastoral care and Rhonda supports a group of volunteer chaplains who visit patients in the various units of the Hospital.
