The concept of Chateau Homes was first contemplated by Company Director Malcolm McDonald in November 1969 with the view to providing home buyers with a luxury, custom design alternative to project home building. By April 1970 the company was registered in the name of Chateau Constructions, later to become ‘Chateau Constructions (Aust. ) Limited’ and in recent times the additional registration of ‘Chateau Homes’ and ‘Chateau Developments’.


From humble beginnings in a small home office, Chateau has evolved under the continued directorship of Malcolm McDonald during its 40 years of operations. Now, located in ‘Chateau House’ in Castle Hill, Malcolm is joined by sons Rod (architecture) and Alex (construction), to carry on the legacy of design excellence and quality construction into the next generation.
