The medical center is ok itself but there is a chinese girl that works there at the phamacy, very tall sometimes wears a jacket that makes her look like big bird. She is extremely rude, lies about being the boss, she is not. Her social skills are that lacking I imagine she is autistic, even if that's not the case, if thats the best job you can get being rude to people earning dogs**t wage you have problems anyway. Maybe go and get further education you will be paid better and you wont be so rude to people. You are a disgusting person

Absolutely terrible. Arrived two and a half hours before closing time and was told by a rude receptionist that they were too busy and couldn't take us. We only needed a doctor's certificate for work regarding a very clearly, visible scar from an accident. Something that would only take no more than 5 minutes. We were told that we could try to catch one of the doctors in between appointments. Yes, really. So we try, and this doctors shrugs us off and tells us protocol is to book an appointment beforehand. Terrible, terrible staff.

Too bad there is no -star rating because I cannot warn people against this strongly enough! We went here despite the bad reviews because it was the only place open on sundays. Waited for two hours patiently (that’s fine, I expected a long wait) and then finally saw the doctor who didn’t listen to anything we said about our 4yo. We were there because she’s had a chesty cough for over two weeks, really high fever, lethargy and vomiting. She was getting a bit better but we wanted to know what caused the fever and the seemingly endless and painful sounding cough.
He asked, is there any history in the family of allergy? Both of us said no. Either of you have asthma? Again we said no. Does her cough get worse at nighttime? Again answered “no, she coughs like that all throughout the day including night time” how about grandparents? Any history of eczema? Me: uhm I think my grandma has eczema?
Diagnosis: “well, due to family history and since her cough gets worse at night time, it must be just an allergy”
Me: What about the fever and vomiting?
Dr: oh well unless you took the temperature it doesn’t really mean anything if she’s a bit warm.
Me: she wasn’t just warm, she definitely had a high fever was lethargic and vomiting (at some point my hubby said it’s definitely over 37.5)
Dr: oh okay well it’s not related to the allergy 😡😡😡
Took everything I got not to be rude and so I just tried to get out of there as soon as we can. Then he asked “what do you think? Do you think we should give her antibiotics?” I didn’t respond and he continued “because most people like to google things so do you think she needs antibiotics?” Responded “I don’t know if she needs it that’s why we went to a doctor, I’m not a doctor to see what was wrong”
Finally after having to say I’m not a doctor twice he gave us prescription for Hives! My daughter did not have rashes on her, she does get rashes occasionally esp in the nappy area but that wasn’t why we were there!!! We were there because she’s had a chesty cough for over two weeks, really high fever, lethargy and vomiting! Yes I’m not a doctor (as he loved to passive aggressively point out) but having a diagnosis for my child 2seconds after seeing her without doing any checks and refusing to listen to our actual answers to your leading questions does not instill faith in your profession! You should be ashamed to call yourself a doctor and should give up your license if you refuse to practice properly! With how you diagnosed my child you’re no better than me googling what’s wrong with my daughter except you’re a massive waste of time!

Problem with the internet these days is people will complain about anything under the sun. Free healthcare for a 2-3 hour wait is no problems for me.

How pathetic. Their hours are until 10pm, we arrived at 8pm. There was one person waiting - I thought how wonderful - we won't even have to wait long. Not a chance, the rude receptionist hardly looked up from her screen and rudely informed us that they were not taking any more patients!!! What the hell, there was no one there ......

Only see Dr Chehelnabi! She is fantastic our whole family see her, and we've used her since 2010.
Go early she starts at 8. Only losing a star as the wait can be long if you don't get there early.

Going to this medical centre is by far the worst encounter I have ever had. I saw Dr B Patel today and he was without a doubt the worst doctor I've ever seen, if he is actually a qualified doctor. He already diagnosed me before having a look at me, didn't let me finish telling him my symptoms, then made me decide whether I wanted a sore throat or a sinus infection because he couldn't fix both, then got very angry when I was confused about not being able to make a decision. From what I've heard too this is just a place to go when you need prescription drugs and have diagnosed yourself. Safe to say I will be taking this higher because Dr B Petal definitely needs his license reviewed because he's putting the health of his patients at risk. You're better of just being sick or going to the hospital than letting these useless excuses for doctors make you feel bad about yourself and then not fixing the matter.

The doctors there prescribed me antibiotics when he doesn't even know what it is. When I asked him if he'd seen this before.. he said I've been a doctor for 30+ years do you think I'll remember everything?.. I was quite shock.. ever since then I just googled my own symptom it's probably better. I rarely like to go there until another time my daughter had high fever I thought maybe I'll take her there since no other doctors were open then. I told reception if there's any way she could be seen soon because she don't look well. ( should've gone to hospital but I never thought of it) the receptionist told me I'll just need to wait. Yep. She had a convulsion whilst waiting and had to call an ambulance. I never ever go back there since. Just go to the medical centre on Katherine st if you must.

I have grown up in the area and have visited plenty of times, some times the wait has been horrible and other times quick and thorough. Human error and wait times doesn't mean this place isn't working to the best of their capability, if its so painful then go elsewhere? I applaud the team for dealing with half the patients that have commented. They have never prescribed medication that hasn't been effective or misdiagnosed me.

User

It's a mixed bag. Best to call ahead and see how many doctors are on staff at that time as it varies from 1 to 5+ and will make a massive difference to wait times. Doctors are mixed in care factor. If you find a good one, you can request them each time. Good place for minor stuff, to get referrals, scripts etc as bulk billed.

The worst ever! Waited more than 2 hours. What a joke. I saw a doctor let his mates in without waiting. Very unfair.... I wont even give one star, but i had to pick one to post a review. Horrible...

User

Lack of management. waiting 1 hour for the first available doctor. Doctors only visit their own patients even if they are free do not pick other patients
