As 2017 draws to a close and we prepare to face the challenges that 2018 will bring, I find myself reflecting on what an awesome responsibility, honour and privilege it has been, and continues to be, to be a martial arts instructor! To start out, with an eager bunch of 8 and 9 year olds & beginners, and in what seems like a blink of an eye, an amazing group of young adults stand before you! They have become school teachers, medical and legal professionals, members of the defe...nce and police forces, degrees in business and industry and starting families of their own. All of them giving back to the arts and to their communities, fine and exemplary role models for the next generation of young ones to follow! A Senior Grand Master whom I admire greatly once said that we are simply the custodians of the arts. It is our role to perpetuate them and pass it on to those that follow us. I believe the future is in good hands! Happy New Year everyone! May you have an amazing 2018. Set your goals and exceed them!! OSU!! 💥👊🏻🐅🐉
