Chinese Chess And Cards Club

The Chinese Chess and Cards Club (CCCC) is a not-for-profit society that aims to: • Introduce and promote the Chinese chess and cards culture (along with other board games) to the University• Build a platform for socialization for those who share a similar interest• Enrich the extra-curricular lives of the Chinese students in the University• Add new elements to the lives of the non-Chinese students• Introduce intellectual ways of thinking that are involved in Chinese chess and card games• Facilitate cooperation and teamwork (which would be required in many board and card games) among members• Facilitate problem-solving skills of the members• Help build up mentality and sense of competitionWe hope to achieve the above by accomplishing the following: • One to two weekly chess and cards session• Periodically hold competitions amongst members• Discussion of Chess and Cards tactics• Casual events to encourage socializing between members
