Still one of the best clubbing venues in Sydney. Although I don’t get there too often these days, it’s a great dark/dingy venue to have a huge night with friends. Make sure you pick your night (in terms of DJs), and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Thoroughly recommend 👏

After knowing about Chinese laundry for nearly 8 years and finally going, I was expecting them to actually have a somewhat decent sound system, are there even subs at all? The music is clipping and I can still hear myself speak no problem.

Have been here for quite a few years. Was a favorite 10 years ago and had some many crazy nights there. #LetsGuide #Sydneydrinks #Sydney #Australia

if I could give zero stars will be my rate. went there on saturday night to celebrate my bday , couldn't get in because my fiance who is a tattoo artist licensed from NSW has tattoo on his hands and neck , so was a halloween part , where people were in costumes , we traveled from manly to the party , to arrive at the door and had the worse treatment ever , discrimination , and had the word of the manager Aron that my money will be refund from my tickets and my uber , and I've been email them since Monday and what ? no answer .
If they don't allow people with tattoos , why don't put on the website ? why don't say that before people waste the money buying tickets for a place where they can't get in ? thanks chinese laundry for destroy my bday night !

Overpriced drinks, rude staff with little interaction/care for their customers. But the bouncers take the cake, the abuse of power is an absolute joke, they treat you like your garbage and will kick people out for no reason if the venue is too full.

Would not recommend this place to anyone

Gangster bouncers and overpriced drinks with a debit-card surcharge put on top of their prices. You're paying more for an average venue at best.

I went to a corner to write a text message on my mobile phone and a bouncer tapped me on the shoulder, wondering what I was doing. They're watching...

IF YOU'RE DRINKING WATER: You'll have to sneak it around the bouncers, else you may be kicked out for not buying drinks, regardless of you being male or female.

IF YOU GO: Treat the bouncers like soviet-era police. They lack training in explaining and resolving situations. They work against you, not with you. So if anything happens - mistakenly or not, you're purely out of luck.

SUMMARY: Save your money and go elsewhere. We'll never be back. Support better venues and businesses instead.

THE IRONY: My wife was kicked out for drinking water, so 10+ of us ended up leaving and continuing drinking at a nearby venue for another 3-4 hours.

GOOD POINTS: Sound system is better than average for Sydney (lower than average compared to typical UK/EUR/USA club), roof is low for that grungier feel, not very busy/popular, so it's easy to find a quiet corner.

Horrible thuggish bouncers who feel like it's ok to gang up on girls, drag them off the dance floor and kick them out for no reason. What is wrong with the attitude of Australia bouncers? You go to a place like this to dance and have fun... but apparently they decide when that's not ok anymore. Won't go back here again. Just reading everyone else's reviews on here, sounds like the common factor in getting kicked out is drinking water!

Honestly, the worst club experience I've ever had. Drinks were overpriced, songs were lackluster, I wish this place was worth the exuberant cover. It's honestly better going to any of the other countless places nearby with free/decent cover vs this place. Any opportunity to overturn this review is mitigated by the fact that they kicked out several people who were not disorderly/were minding their own business. Rather, they seemed to wanted to just throw anyone who had been there for a while (and want to make room for cover paying others), rather than be responsible adults. 1/5, not the place you want to start or end the night. Probably not anywhere you want to be that night either.

This place is awfully overpriced. It would not survive one weekend with the competition in Europe. Customer service is awful. Bartenders don't know what they are doing and the bodyguards at the door ask more questions than the Spanish inquisition. They are the first "welcome" in the club so you want them to be nice not to scare away customers. You guys treat people like it's a favour that you let me spend my money on your watered drinks. Do a couple experiences abroad and learn how to treat a client

The atmosphere was great. The open air smoking zone with drinking could the best for friends. The ertry free was $35, now that was expensive😅

Attended this venue for Mardi Gras' day-party 'Day Wash'. Offers a surprising amount of space spread across multiple rooms/spaces over three floors (ground/basement, first floor & second). Spoke with management of the venue for ticketing help & found them really pleasant. I did find a security staff member somewhat unfriendly. But overall, a nice visit :)

Interesting little place, fun but small (however that's the way it's suppose to be)
