About Choong-Moo Taekwondo
Choong-Moo Taekwon-do Academy teaches traditional ITF Taekwon-do and, with experienced instructors and a friendly environment, is suitable for all ages.
Choong-Moo Taekwondo Description
Choong-Moo Taekwon-do Academy, based at Amaroo School, teaches traditional ITF Taekwon-do in a family-friendly environment. The school was established in 2001 and is under the directorship of Sabum Jordan Steele, a fifth degree black belt with over 20 years’ Taekwon-do experience. Sabum Steele is assisted by a number of qualified female and male black belt instructors.
Choong-Moo, through affiliation with United ITF (Australia) Inc. , is a member of the International Taekwon-do Federation (ITF), a worldwide organisation dedicated to teaching the original Korean martial art in a safe and friendly setting. Classes are geared to providing a fun environment in which students can develop their skills and fitness. Taekwon-do lessons incorporate warm up, stretching and cool down exercises; provide students with a core understanding of fundamental techniques and cover a variety of approaches to sparring and self-defence.
Students at Choong-Moo study all aspects of Taekwon-do including self-defence, patterns, sparring, board breaking and special (flying! ) techniques, and have the opportunity to compete if that is something that interests them. Gradings are held regularly and students can advance at their own pace. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings during the ACT school term.

Choong-Moo is moving!
We've had a great time at Palmerston Primary School, but unfortunately we've outgrown it! From term 2 (Tuesday 1 May) we will be in the (enormous!) gym at Amaroo School (Katherine Avenue, Amaroo).
We're sorry for any inconvenience that this causes, but hope all our existing students are able to come with us. And we'd love to welcome any new students to our new venue!
