Representative was neither helpful directing me on how I can deposit or withdraw my money from my bank.

I hate to complain but this is info that Citibank staff don't know.

The teller this morning was nice but told me wrong information that if I deposit a US check it would take 45 business days to clear, so I left figuring it's faster to mail it to my US bank, then wire it back. Wasted lots of time to drive there and park.

Then on the phone they told me 15 business days to clear, and got verification. So I went back again and they refused to let me deposit it at all because they require my acct to already have a balance larger than the check. Why did no one say that before? Dumb. And rude. And even dumber because they had no resolution, and neither did the manager, who was also unapologetic. They didn't even try to find out what I should do, just kept reciting policy that I cannot do business with them.

So I got citibank on the phone as I stood there and they said I have to mail the check to them to deposit it. The teller didn't believe that so Citibank rep in the phone got supervisor who said yes, because I don't have a balance larger than the check, the only way to deposit is to mail it to their PO box. It's a very dumb system but it is a solution, and the branch should have known or tried to find out.

Both times I went today, there were no customers there at all. It's obvious why.

Two visits to the branch in two days to address different issues. Both times I was told to call Citi phone. Some of the front staff need a basic course in courtesy too. The Sydney branch could use a pointer or two from their Singapore counterparts. Up your game or your customers will leave you.

Terrible customer service. No greeting, staff ignored the growing line of customers walking in and out of the main reception with zero acknowledgement not even a "we'll be with you shortly". Not worth the visit, waste of time and you're better off taking your business to a better bank.

Gone completely cashless. Might as well have gone completely useless. Why bother even having a presence if you're going to offer half arsed banking services? The customer "service" representative essentially told me to transfer my money to a more useful bank.

Indian call centre does not help at all. Worst banking experience ever.

Terrible experience and false information. Hence, I have to make another trip to this terrible bank again. FIX THIS. Hire quality staff.

Most disgusting service.... Over an hour waiting to get a bank cheque.... Staff not helpful unless you are giving them money.... Would never deal with them again.

Incompetent and messy. Very poor experience. Can not track application and account status well, conflicting answers.

i love the idea that Citibank is going cashless but they need to promote this through staff or just downsize your bank because its so staffless and it makes ur customers feel insecure. At least give the customers information of how things will work instead of saying "sorry we dont have atms" - the customer service is a bit lacking here and better training can improve this. This was an observation from another customer. Eventually we will all go cashless but at least show some enthusiasm!!

Entirely useless for overseas customers - may as well not exist for non-Aussies.

Would've given them a zero star if there is such an option. No over-the-counter (OTC) cash withdrawal facility, no cashless functionality at ATMs. Citibank has made it harder and harder for people to bank with them.
