Muster frontage in the heart of Big River City
The desire to help our farming families is at the heart of a new partnership forged between Grafton Shoppingworld and the 6th annual Clarence Valley Country Muster.... Muster organiser Wendy Gordon and Shoppingworld centre management marketing coordinator Chrystal Davies have come up with a great location to promote the Muster as well as become a handy, central drop-off point for donations, both monetary and of the non-perishable variety. All money and goods will go directly to those in need via the CWA, Salvation Army and the Buy-A-Bale organisation. Prime shop frontage (the former RM Williams store) will be the home of the Clarence Valley Country Muster, right up until November 4 in Grafton Shoppingworld. Closer to the event, several Muster artists will visit the store and might even be persuaded to sing a song or two. All have donated CDs for various raffles to assist the worthy cause. The local CWA branch will sell raffle tickets on location three days a week from August 30 until early November. Proceeds from these raffles will be distributed by CWA groups to those in need. Everyone loves to recycle so why not help those who need it most at the Tomra Return and Earn centre in Shoppingworld? Every container counts and will buy bales of hay for drought-affected farmers. Every bottle and can donated will make a difference! The Salvation Army will have its trailer on site as a receptacle for non-perishable grocery items, dog food, Christmas gifts, toiletries and all kinds of practical goods. A cake, slice and biscuit stall and second-hand book sale on Thursday, October 25 will be held on the Muster site at Ulmarra for the Buy-A-Bale cause. The Clarence blacksmiths group, which regularly donates items for charity raffles including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, will supply an additional unique piece to raffle for the Buy-A-Bale project at the 2018 Muster. Even if you can’t make it in to the shopping centre, there are lots of ways you can help make a difference to our farming families.
