OK, Soooo.... Plan B! We stay home this weekend and repair a blow exhaust gasket. Damn! When it rains, it pours. I suspected a failed gasket during start-up. A shut-down and inspection confirmed it.
We take maintenance very seriously here, as do most in the warbird community. Every now and then something like this crops up and disrupts our best-laid plans, but that's all part of the journey with these gorgeous aircraft.

Our Winjeel's magneto has been overhauled and we're off to Maryborough Qld this afternoon! We'll be offering rides all day tomorrow and then will point the plane south for the Grafton Wings and Wheels day early Sunday morning.

Well, it's been a challenging week! Our Winjeel is currently undergoing maintenance for what I had hoped was a dodgy spark plug but what instead seems to be a troublesome magneto. I'm hopeful and confident that it will be repaired soon...!

It was great to pause from a busy weekend of flying for a chat with fellow Californian Wesley Mazke after his flight in our Winjeel at the Lismore Aviation Expo this past weekend. His son looks right at home in the cockpit there, possibly thinking about becoming a pilot himself someday!! #ballinacoastandhinterland #lismoreaviationexpo
