Clearwater Portfolio Management is a boutique investment company based in Byron Bay. We created our investment portfolios as a direct response to the Global Financial Crisis. Back then, many portfolios were hit with significant losses, which had a devastating affect on investors. While many portfolios rebounded, we learned that we needed to do more to support our investors. Our industry has always relied on the throwaway line, "it'll be ok in the long term". But this approach doesn't help if you're already depending heavily on your investments to live day-to-day. Or if you find "long term" just a little too long to bear both emotionally and financially. Our investment approach in our Diversified Portfolio is all about limiting losses. It's a strategy that our CEO, Gary Lucas, began investigating back in 2012. And it's designed to allow a fund's capital to grow and compound from the market recovery that always follows a downturn.
