We are looking for live Christmas Beetles. If you live nearby or are thinking of visiting us soon, we would like to make you an offer.
... For every 5 or more live Christmas Beetles you bring with you we will give you one free entry for one person to the Butterfly House. The beetles don't have to be identical to the one in the photo as they come in a range of colours and sizes, but they must be colourful.

They’re back! After a 2 year absence, the amazing Ulysses butterflies are once more flying at the Butterfly House. We expect their appearance here will be sporadic over coming months as they are a relatively short-lived butterfly and still scarce, but for now they’re here! Check them out.

Meet one of our latest arrivals….it’s a ‘Lichen’ Spiny Leaf Insect. In the right situation (on a lichen covered branch for instance) this has to be one of nature’s most amazing camouflage efforts. You can see these intriguing insects, and their friends, at the Butterfly House.

If you are planning a visit to the Butterfly House tomorrow (3 August), please note that due to a half day public holiday our cafe will close at 12 noon. However the Butterfly House itself will remain open.

We met Andrew and his family at the Butterfly House today. What they are doing is truly amazing and we encourage you to support them. Check out The Million Dollar Run.

Despite what Facebook may tell you, we are open on Monday 12 June from 9am to 4pm. As always we recommend the best butterfly viewing time is between 10am and 2pm.
