Coffs Harbour Garden Club Description

About us
We meet every third Saturday of the month Jan-Nov at the Botanic Garden Funtion Room, Hardacre Street, Coffs Harbour with the actual meeting commencing at 1. 30pm. If you have exhibits for the competition table (full details can be found on www. coffsgardenclub.com 'Membership' page) or if you have items for the Trading Table, could you please be there earlier for set up.

The Coffs Harbour Garden Club is a not-for-profit community organisation run by a team of gardening enthusiasts from the NSW mid-north Coast.

Whilst our membership consists of people of all ages and lifestyles, our common love is in seeing our own and other members' gardens grow, the enjoyment of our unique local environment and the power of community spirit.

We meet monthly to discuss upcoming events and swap tips on what is working well in our gardens, while we also partake in a number of social and educational activities, including:

Coffs Harbour Spring Garden Competition - our premier event for the year.
Member Participation in local and State-level shows - including the stewarding and assistance in the Coffs Harbour Show.
Sponsorship - of the Professional Florist Competition held in conjunction with Coffs Show.
Coffs Harbour Regional Airport air-side gardens first Wednesday of each month - we have artistic control and proudly maintain the gardens for Coffs Harbour's main transport hub.
Member garden visits - different members showcasing what is growing well in their garden.
Guest speakers - Various speakers cover life skills and /or professional experience at each of our monthly meetings.
Competition Table - Where our members display their beautiful blooms or interesting plants. These exhibits also help other members to learn about what grows best on the mid north coast, invaluable if new to the different climatic conditions.
Gardener's Diary - advice on what to do in your garden now from one of our more experienced members.
Trading Table - Offers our members the chance to bring plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables to share with other members.
Friends of Botanic Garden - through yearly donation and member volunteer participation.
Travel Club - members occasionally enjoy extended trips away (sometimes with other garden clubs) and monthly visits to local gardens /places of interest.
Social Interaction - birthday recognition and picnic gatherings, often in conjunction with the monthly outing.
Extensive library - Our library addresses many different subjects, including DVDs and specialist texts
Eleanor McLeod Award - for outstanding service to the community, this is awarded from Garden Clubs of Australia.

Of course, our meetings would never be complete without our lucky door prizes, raffles and scrumptious afternoon teas.
