Reception was great very helpful and accommodating.

Loved our two night stay here at the motel for the long weekend. My boyfriend and I knew we werent going to make it in time for the check in and we emailed the motel and gave us options, either to pay extra or cancel the booking but they were kind enough to leave our key under the door mat. We also came back to our room the next afternoon to new towels and bins changed. Thank you.

Good clean rooms comfortable clean beds excellent value quiet rooms nice people managing WiFi Air-conditioning

I would give this place a zero star if I've given the option...
compared to every other motel I've stayed in around this area, this one is the worst by far👎
I've stay here twice with my partner..the first time, the old lady at the front desk was rude👎and its clearly she does the cleaning etc of the motel..when we check in, she was not at her desk..so I ring the bell and then start to call out but she's nowhere to be seen..so we waited and waited..it was a very hot day & we've been out to the beach & had lunch and it's time to check-in and no one at the reception?say 5mins later still no one.. so we decided to sit in the car with the air conditioning on..after 5mins I went back in to the reception & called out again..10mins later this old lady appears out of no where and saying sorry I had to drop someone off..
I'll give her a zero out of 10 for her management skills👎
We had to book in to this motel the second time because every other motel was all booked..
and this time she was worst..as we drive in we parked at the available and closest park to the reception..
The very same receptionist was there..she was rude & not very friendly at all and not a smile.. and she just throw us the key👎 and as we turn to leave.. she say.. oh by the way park ur car in front of ur room👎
and so we do as we told..we check-in & turn the air con on and had a shower and fall asleep for about 1 1/2 hr..my partner woke up coughing so he turn the air con off..
anyway we decided to have a drink and there's no wine glasses..my partner again go to the reception and asked for wine glass she give him 2 dirty wine glasses👎the bar fridge takes a while to cool👎..no Wi-Fi connection at all👎..I end up using my fone better connection👍..1GB allowance per day & it's switch off @10pm..one guest was sitting outside the front garden on the outdoor setting provided..was told to go inside he can't sit there at that time of the nite👎
Anyway we had a drink and get dressed the same time to go out for dinner👍..our door was open and we played some music on our fone..it wasn't loud at all...as we aware that there are other guests..
the not so friendly I'm guessing the owner storm out and said.. turn the music down it's too loud and if u have the door open there's no used of the air con it'll just wasted blah blah blah and mumbling as she walk away..
first of all our music wasn't loud & secondly the air con was switch off already..
the whole afternoon as we sit and enjoy our drink without our music.. she was up and down outside looking at us and if she's inside the reception she'll peek out the window being nosey..really she's so nosey👎
as we checkout we decided to talk to them about what take place yday..it is now look like a middle age male person at the reception..
we kindly told him that we didn't appreciate being told off by the old lady yday..and he clearly sided with her..as we try to explain ourselves the old lady walk in and take over while the old man call the police👎
they told us there's no alcohol allowed..hang on..why did u give us wine glasses when we asked for it?..a dirty wine glasses👎you've could of tell us then that there's no alcohol allowed..
anyway will not be staying there anymore and I'll definitely not recommend this motel to any of anyone...

I booked a room in this motel to stay a night in Ulladulla before continuing my road trip to Sydney during my Christmas break. The booking was made in a hurry due to the fact that we did not plan to stay in Ulladulla for a night but rather keep travelling from Lake Entrance to Sydney. This make me overlook at the total guests allowed to stay in the room.
When arrived at the reception, we were honest and admitted that we are a group of four. As soon as, the motel owner heard that we are a group of four, he started to being rude and kept saying that "you are liar".
We apologised for our fault and asked if the owner could please allow us just to rest for one night before keep travelling (we were happy to pay extra), or have another room for my two friends. He insisted to only allow 2 people staying in the room, and he did not have any vacancy for another two. We respected his rule, asked for the key to our room, and promised that only two people would be entered his motel. This can be checked by him using CCTV at his motel and we would be reliable for any incurred cost if 4 of us actually stayed at his room. However, the owner was still not only keep being rude and aggressive, but also refuse to give us the key to our room.
This left us no choice but contacting booking.com(we booked his room through this website) to intervene with this nonsense motel owner.Fortunately, booking.com understood the situation and provide us an alternative solution for the night.
After booking.com made this decision, he called us and changed his attitude immediately. He suddenly became a nice guy and helped us to find another room for our friend. But at this stage, everything was too little too late after he threatened to call the police to charge us on trespassing his premises by parking our car on parking spot for guests waiting to receive room key (I have no idea with this guy LOL).

Stayed one night at Colonial Palms. Check in was quick and friendly. WiFi was free and reliable. Comfortable bed, hot shower with complimentary shampoo/soap. Air conditioning and fan were good. Decor was dated but a very comfortable night overall and very reasonably priced.
