Reviews
Always greeted with a friendly smile and directed to the right area. I understand that the atm's do pretty much everything and am normally told this when i go up to the counter to speak with someone, however there are still some of us would much rather speak to a Commonwealth representative then dealing with a hole in the wall. Well done team!
Terrible customer service. Spent 40mins waiting. Money then got deposited in wrong accounts. Coin machine old and outdated. Frustrating!!
I can't give a good review while Commbank aka #coalbank invests in fossil fuels. It's bad for the economy (long term as climate change from fossil fuel use will damage our agriculture and tourism and a plethora of diseases etc.) and will kill the great barrier reef and acidify our oceans, a vital eco system we rely on. There are just too many reasons. Better to fund renewables, which actually crate far more jobs than thermal coal mining does at the moment.
I would be grateful if the Commonwealth Bank stops supporting coal development, particularly the Adani Mine given it's likely toxic impact on the Great Barrier Reef.
Leanee or whatever her name is was the rudest person i had to come across today.
Greeted at the door with a concered and angry "are you okay there!?!!" With a furrowed brow as i walk into the store. How hard is it to smile and say hi..
The Commonwealth Bank was my first workplace. Back then they were responsible global citizens. Today they fund mines like Adani. Unbelievable!
i'm really disappointed that CommBank is still funding fossil fuels which are the biggest polluter in this country. I would like to see you look towards the future and see that fossil fuels are not the way to create a world that will have any possibility of climate change reduction. Australia is way behind other counties who have started to do something positive about this. Remove your funding for fossil fuels as soon as possible.
Located centrally which I like, but the rear carpark is a bit of a joke at best fit 3 cars there. Forget about off street parking it's impossible. Pro tip if you have to get large sums of cash out, do it in another branch, too many shady character hanging around.
Best commonwealth branch in Newcastle as far as helpful staff goes
Convenient Commonwealth Bank located within central Mayfield.
With rear parking...
Decent service, can be a wait at peak times. They have a coin counting machine available inside which is great.
Not too sure about the bleaching or non renewable resources but I did receive the money I requested and it came with a receipt
Mum and i would like to say a massive thankyou to sammy and Patricia... they both went above and beyond to help with any questions mum had. There service was outstanding and impeccable nothing was a problem... so thanks again to you both from the commonwealth bank in queanbeyan‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ‚ ėļ‚ėļ‚ėļ
Great customer service. The opening hours should be extended PLEASE.
I have never been as insulted as today by that little man who calls himself "the manager".
Never met a person with zero personality or empathy for others.
This man should be given a job that doesn't require any customer interaction. Not be representing a major bank.
Please investigate this man, Commonwealth!
Please move your indoor ATM to the outside for instant cash deposits, the ANZ have it. Or have an after hours indoor area like the westpack do. Also please open at 9am. Not 9:30am. Thanks.
Deposit money through ATM as they say it gets done every 2 hours.
more than not you end up chasing it up the next day.
No tellers? 5 billion in profits... nice one CBA
Helpful staff. CBA Warrawong have moved to one of those new kiosky type shops inside Warrawong Plaza, next to the food court.
I hardly give business 5 stars
But this branch deserves a 5 stars
Best lending manager, best customer serivces
Best tellers, best branch amongst all cba.
The lending team of this branch is very knowladgeble, very capable, extremely smart in personal finance and investment and lending and property related areas, suprised me so much.
I would believe staff working at this branch should get promotion into the head office and taking more important role and career.
5 stars .
Their service is very nice! They will connect me when I can open a smart access account. And they will stand in the customer's perspective to provide a service!
Nice location of ATMs
Long waits. I know it's a busy store that caters for it's local community (hence making it busy), but could improve in the area of customer turnover
Convenient location. Staff are friendly.
Went there last week ... it was very crowded and full of people. Wouldn't go to this branch again during peak hours. However, the manager at the front was very friendly and helpful.
It is one of the biggest Banks in Australia. It has a of branches which makes it very convinient - there are many ATMS - Automatic Teller Machines. There is always one close by and anyone can withdraw money. Customer service is very good in the bank, the people are always very helpful and its open until 3.30 - Monday to Thursday and Friday until 5.
It's not a branch, its a few smart ATMs. CBA - please amend this in google so its called an express branch or something.
This branch doesn't do foreign currency deposits.
Never answers the phone - have called repeatedly last two days, we tried to deposit money into gf's bank account and the ATM took the cash without giving a receipt or depositing funds in account. Have tried to call to resolve but no luck.
I am a longtime customer of CommBank. As the biggest funder of fossil fuels of any bank in Australia last year, CommBank is holding us back from a future with clean air, clean water and a healthy Great Barrier Reef. CommBank is revising its climate policy, which is the best chance we have right now to get CommBank to stop funding polluting coal. The bank will lose credibility, shareholders and me as a customer if they don’t act.
Friendly staff, is it also possible to deposit using the ATM. Usually not busy.
Customer Service was great, but after opening a business bank account, 3 weeks in and I am already looking for a different bank for my business. Everything was just slow, and they didn't even send me a business debit card? 3 weeks in and I find out I have to order it myself which will take another week. Probably my fault, I should have realised opening a business bank doesnt come with a card. Common sense I guess..
I would not advice opening a business account there.
Everything else is probably fine.
Best bank ever. Love their technology. Great staff at the branch :)
The chips were cold, and the fish was clearly from yesterday's stock. I do recommend their spring rolls however.
Easy to get to
Great modern branch near HQ.
Best mobile banking is Au
Great bank, great service.
Standard Comm bank service which translates to good service. :)
I've utilised all of the major banks for my retail banking in recent years (I still use more than one...for various reasons).
From an online banking perspective it's certainly superior, but when face-to-face interaction is required, I'm never dissapointed either.
This bank consistently provides 6 star customer service, along with most other branches. And this one may reach 6.5! 😉😊
Atm deposit service always not available after hours
Always busy, more staff needed. Good service.
Thank you for closing early today was rushing the whole way from North Sydney to the bank, paid for the parking just to see a closed bank. Very poorly updated opening hours.
Having banked with Commbank for in excess of 20 years with both personal and business accounts I am totally disgusted at how I have been treated and when Commbank advertises the slogan "We Can" it should be changed to "We Won't" because when you need them the most they refuse to help.
They continually make you offers of money when you don't need it but when the time comes and you do they refuse.
I will be closing my Commbank accounts and going elsewhere.
Dimi Terleckyj
Poor service closed account went to ING
Very rude staff
Try calling the bank you will never get through. The number will keep ringing but nobody is there to pick up. Is the number even working? Quite disappointing. If anybody was able to get through from this number let me know.
Nice and friendly staffs
I have been a customer at CommBank for about 2 years and overall I am pretty happy. However when I found out that you were investing $3.9 billion in fossil fuels last year - the biggest funders in Australia, it put a slight deterrent on the whole company. I'm ashamed to be a customer at CommBank when you are funding coal mines and ultimately playing a huge part in destroying our world. We cannot keep funding non-renewable energy. We need to change now before it's too late. Invest in renewables instead and show that you do actually care about your customers. By investing in polluting coal projects you are making a huge statement that you do not care about your customers or future customers because you are contributing to the destruction of our homes.
Staff always on hand and willing to help
3.9 Billion dollars invested in fossil fuels instead of renewable energy. 1 star.
The branch is fine, the company is not at all. I was a customer with the bank ever since I started in the Dollarmite program in school, and have recently left for the following reason. CommBank invested $3.9 Billion in fossil fuels last year and plan on ramping up this investment in the wake of the Adani Carmichael Mine on the GBR in QLD. I think it's sick they've decided to prolong the harsh, inhumane treatment of our Earth of which we will all be affected by, thanks to the allure of money. Please Commbank listen to your customers and consider lowering your investment in the fossil fuel industry, and use your power and influence in the banking sector and broader Australian business community to benefit our world and put Australia in the forefront of Climate Reparation globally.
I have been a customer at CommBank for about 2 years and overall I am pretty happy. Note, the Wahroonga bank staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, this is not a review against them.

I'm really unhappy that CommBank was the biggest funder of fossil fuels in 2016. CommBank needs to stop funding dirty coal power now and show that they care about future generations and the future of the planet.
Useful ATM's
So close to switching my mortgage to commbank but recently found out how they are sponsoring coal and it's continued use in Oz. Very surprised that a bank I respected has such little concern for our country's future, our planet's future and out kid's future. Shame.
I've had an account with Commbank since I was 5 starting with a dollarmite account at school. Commbank (and my parents) taught me how to save for the future. I don't believe Commbank is thinking about our future anymore if they are going to continue to fund fossil fuel projects which are contributing to climate change. I'm looking forward to the new climate policy from Commbank which will hopefully fix this problem but for now I have to give this poor review as a reflection of their fossil fuel funding in 2016. Room for improvement! #stopadani
Very impressed.
I have been doing all my banking with CBA for >20 years for personal, business & super. This branch has the concierge at the entrance which is appallingly inefficient. All their consultants were busy, but two concierge persons stood around and chatted while customers waited. I think I will sell my CBA shares.
Very disappointed with poor service.
Typical of the commbank same poor services as usual. As a customer of nearly 40 years wonder why I moved my home loan elsewhere.
Overall good customer service.
Personnel strongly need sensitivity training
They never answer the phone
Went there to open a bank account.
Booked for an appointment, was back there 5 mins before the appointment time, waited there for half an hour, the guy/girl did not appear. They said he/she was stuck in the traffic. I got back to work.
Next time i went there to link my new account to my netbank app, the teller said they were busy, got my details to do it later and said me to go. I waited for 2 days and nothng happend. Had to go to anothe branch another day.
Very poor service at Surry Hills.
For such a busy branch , very helpful
Great experience from start to finish. Bit busy but always informed and felt well looked after. You will need a passport to sign up for an account. They also have coin deposit banks to count your change.
Such a pity that CommBank is still investing massively in coal and other fossil fuels: $3.9 billion last year. CommBank customers and shareholders will pay for this in the long run, and so will the rest of the country.
They are very efficient with large volumes of customers, including multi-lingual staff. And they do not lose their customer service edge when busy. Hats off to them.
Walked in to update my address and ended up with my debit card getting cancelled. A month down the line and they still haven't fixed it.
Possibly the most inefficient branch in the whole country.
Well it is a bank... what else to say. OK organized, helpful staff, everything has been sorted pretry quickly
They ate very efficient with large volumes of customers, including multi-lingual staff. And they do not lose their customer service edge when busy. Hats off to them.
Just wonder if the phone number is really this branch number. Made 10 phone calls and no one answer. All I got is the damn answereing machine keep saying my call is very important but no even one staff pick it up.
Good quality services. Also good for currency exchange. Offers good rate of exchange..
The wonderful workers decided to rather than serve who is next decide to give preference to whoever is of lighter skin. I waited for around 20 minutes which bad but when I was supposed to be served next a worker decided to serve the people who came after me, he was told to serve us but decided to serve the white couple which came in after us
Great Customer Service! Wait times can be expected banking on the weekend, however they were extremely efficient.
Service us great.. they are going down the self service road... for me thats a +
Good fast service. Helpful staff. Long opening hours on a Saturday is a bonus too.
This is the most painful CommBank branch I've ever been unlucky enough to visit. Trying to get help from the concierges is like an episode of Fawlty Towers. Would rather go to the CBA on Church Street.
This is my favourite commonwealth branch. I live closer to the Bankstown/Chester Hill but I'd rather drive 30 minutes to Parramatta's westfield bank. They're quick, hardworking and fast at parra. (Revesby is a close 2nd too :)
Staff usually greet at entry and hardly any waiting times. Above average.
Love that they are open on a Sunday! We've always had good, relatively quick service.
Helpful staff but can be a bit unbearable. They are however always able to help and also teach people how to use technology relating to banking. A few ATMs to choose from but they seem to go out of service quite regularly. The lines are short and the tellers are fast.
I have to agree with the previous review. As a customer and superannuation shareholder of the Commonwealth bank, it really disappoints me that Australia's biggest bank is the biggest investor in dirty coal projects that jeopardise Australia's global responsibility to reduce our Carbon output. I hope the Comm Bank board can find a better use of their investment and help us move toward an innovative and clean energy future.
As a shareholder of Commonwealth Bank & a grandfather I am deeply concerned at prospect of CBA continuing new investments in coal industry & especially the proposed Carmichael mine by #Adani
Science clearly demonstrates that climate change is real & CBA has a clear responsibility to its clients, shareholders & Australian public to take it seriously and reflect that in policies that do not support any activities in new coal mines or supporting industries such as coal ports or railways.
In doing this CBA will be following lead of most other banks & institutions in putting people & environment first before profits
Part of the old world corporate model funding coal projects.
Busy CBA branch...Lotsa pensioners on Tuesdays
Middle of the day, branch full of customers and one teller person serving. Customers walking out. What a joke.
Service is okay although the ATM machines are older models so cash deposits will take half a day or more to be processed.
Efficient and above average customer service.
everything happens very long
Worst place to do banking. Robyn and Shalini are rude and not at all interested in dealing with customer issues. Not only was I not greeted by the door girl and had to beg for her attention just to get my name down, Shalini treated me with complete disregard and could not tell me why I was told over the phone that I could get my cards sent to the branch while this was not the case in store (as a side note this is common practice by all the big four banks for financial security in Australia). Cancelling all my accounts with this Bank as I would rather go through all the hassle of setting up new account, redirecting direct debit and work wage rather than deal with commonwealth bank again. Poor customer service outways all the technological benefits NetBank apps gives. Robyn was the worst though. I admit I was upset, however I have been given by the company I work for proper direction and instruction on how to show empathy and defuse a situtation instead of making it worse by being rude and threatening the customer. All any customer that has had to deal with cards consistently on many occasion not arriving and one who has followed all steps in the escalation process to secure thier money is a solution to the problem not complete and utter disregard.
Poor customer service. Their is a queue of 15 customers and only two teller counters are operating very slowly. 4 staff is standing outside and two are with one customer for 15 minutes.
This must be the worst commonwealth bank in Australia cash deposit machine is always out of order ask the staff to let me use the one inside they didn't allow me plus very rude attitude also the line is always out the door very slow service time to make a change
This branch is understaffed, the line is always up to the door sometimes even past the door. The whole branch is a joke, I feel bad for the staff there because they receive abuse every day from clients. I have been with commonwealth bank since I was 9 years old with a dolarmite savings account and I am definitely going to change banks. I think one star rating is an overstatement for this branch. CBA pull your finger out and start treating your clients better or you will lose most of your good client. Gross profit of CBA last year from memory was 7 billion, you make enough money, use some of it to retain your clients.
Nice branch
Wated 35 min in a queue, what a joke.
Bad service, not enough staff & the most thing that that makes me angry is that they have about 8 teller booths there but there is only ever 2 to 3 tellers operating thats why every time the line of people is that long it goes out the door, i am really considering moving to another bank not happy
They don't have enough staff to serve everyone ,too much waiting period 😑😕😠
Staff are helpful and knowledgeable, while being very efficient. They can usually sort out the issue that you are experiencing.
when I went up to the teller told her what I wanted her to do then she walks off and starts eating and talking to her co workers and there's never enough tellers open
...
Local bank.
Very helpful and good customer service
Worst Service. Some of them don't want see you there. They are good at blugging.
Good for national and international money services
Nice and Friendly Staff A great Local Branch Keep up the good work
Nice facility, with quick waiting times. Staff are friendly, and the bank is easily accessible (if you park in the nearby parking, behind the bank accessible from Ashley lane).
Pretty pointless unless you have an account with commonwealth. came into to deposit cash into my work's account only to find no teller available and the atms all require a commonwealth card in order to use them so ya pretty stupid. Thanks for wasting my time
Um. Ye.
Please acknowledge that alot of these reviews aren’t based of this actual branch! They have fantastic customer service with very helpful staff members including in very busy days. I’ve had banks tell me to shoo off because what I’m asking for is accessible through they’re app, this bank branch has people that are actually happy to show you how to use the app!
BS workers not helpful at all!!
Customer since primary school. Hope Com Bank stops being a corporate criminal against humanity by stopping it's funding of fossil fuel!
The Commonealth bank needs to aknowledge that climate policy writ now is going to affect the children and grandchildren and progeny into the future of their customers and their workers and their shareholders. Withdrawing and refusing financial support to offending corporations who ignore the impact of mining and drilling and carbon emmisions will save our world from inevitable destruction in the near and far future.
Our future is in your hands. Protect it please. Yrs Frederik Schuijff
.
I'm really disappointed that CommBank was the biggest funder of fossil fuels in Australia in 2016. If CommBank really cares about Australia's future then they should stop funding dirty coal now.
Poor customer service and machines out of order.
Saturday open 9:30 to 1pm Hurstvill commonwealth bank.
Terrible customer service! Have to stop banking with them!
Yet another Commonwealth Bank that is seemingly the last to offer comprehensive and helpful/friendly service IN THE BRANCH. 6 stars.
Note: Opening hours shown and suggested are both incorect. See my suggested update....and hey....LOOK AT MY PICTURE of opening hours:
MONDAY - THURSDAY: 9:30am - 4:00pm
FRIDAY: 9:30am - 5:00pm
SATURDAY: 9:30am - 1:00pm

I was there just to solve the ATM deposit dispute. But they were not really listening. Instead, just telling me that they have to close at 5 pm, (but time on their clock was still 10min to 5pm) in a Very intimidating & unprofessional way. I understand that they need to close but they could have communicated that in a professional manner. So that alone gave me an unpleasant, awkward experience and confirmed that they don't really care about customers with issues, and that very issue is only because of them. I yelled "why.. ... ..." outta frustration, my bad, I should not have .
Slow and inefficent. Only 2 counters opened at a time .

Very friendly and efficient. I frequent this branch and am regularly impressed with the staff's ability to handle some relatively difficult and frustrating customers/ enquiries. Has a cash deposit teller machine in front of the branch which is also handy. Keep up the good work team!
Whenever I come here, they're making me to wait nearly 45 minutes..
Not the best branch to open new business accounts, firstly there was a stuff up organizing net banking, after follow up at the branch and over the phone it was sorted and next they stuffed up debit cards. Just incompetent staff!!
Very friendly staffs.
Always suck when you goes for deposit. Don't trust and try other places 😡😠
One the worst Commonwealth bank ever they don't answer Thier phone and won't return a phone call
They wont return your call!
The worst commbank branch ever all workers suck zooper dooper for living
Accessible and great service form staff
Helpful staff
People wait more than 2 hours, when we ask staff how long more , they angry and shouting to the customers , really bad and poor service, always said very busy day , this is very disappointing....!!
Very bad service
Decided not to help me obtain some change for a fund raising effort because I was not a customer of theirs and they were 'too busy'. Thanks for being able to help, but choosing not to.
I remember as a child getting my first money box from Comm Bank. I think I still have it somewhere. I find it difficult to believe that if you have your shareholder's best interests in mind that you would have invested $3.9Billion in fossil fuels last year - the biggest funder in Australia. You should stop funding polluting coal projects and look to the future.
Helpful staff, usually not too busy.
Edit: July 2017, 2 to 5 stars
Best thing:
I got a less than ideal experience on my mortgage application with other bank to a point where it really stresses me out.
I called CBA, met with Raymond Su (lending manager) and he offered an exemplary customer service that actually solved my issue in less than 2 hours.
That alone warrant a 5 stars review, and to top it off, the rates are actually competitive to that other bank.
Good thing:
nearest atm for cardless cash
my local CBA branch
Bad thing:
1 bad experience that I won't forget.
Back in January 2015, went there 5 minutes to 4:00PM to exchange foreign currency and they turn me over saying it's close time (no it's not, it's not 4:00PM yet!)
Anyway, couldn't care less to argue and went to St. George across the street, it's past their closing time and I'm not even their customer but they were gladly serve me!
Since then I prefer going to CBA in North Sydney (near office) or Chatswood (in weekend).
Always a long queue to discuss with someone. They NEVER answer the phone, so I always need to go there and waste at least 45 minutes to talk to someone, even for minor queries.
As a business account client, I don't understand that they don't have a dedicated agent for business queries.
Great location, pleasant staff, I use it regularly. It is marred only by CBA's persistent funding of fossil fuel projects. This is unacceptable in 2017 WHEN WE KNOW BETTER. Please change your policy in this respect CBA.
Commbank's support of fossil fuel industry and in particular the mining industry is disgusting and needs to stop. Providing funding for industries that are contributing to the destruction of our environment and the safety of the planet in the name of profit is short sighted and insulting to your bank's members, of which I am one. Stop funding these industries!!!
never answers phone ! have been waiting almost 6 months for my two cards and have asked for them more them twice . very unhappy
Worst customer service, rude staff and very unhelpful why managers hire people like this I'll never know thank god iv had better service at other branches.
I have been a commonwealth customer since 2005, with 4 home loans equating to nearly 2 million dollars. It pains me to think that my bank of choice is the largest finder of fossil fuel. If you cared about my children's future, you would stop funding dirty coal. I thought CBA was a progressive bank? Why aren't you funding sustainable energy and environmentally responsible companies that look to protecting our future. You have an obligation to your customers and our country to protect it - not to fund the destruction of it.
I have been a customer and banking with Commbank at Mosman for 15 years and I strongly oppose CB investing in fossil fuels ( $3.9Billion in fossil fuels in 2016 - the biggest funder in Australia). Overall I have been happy with CB costumer service in Mosman but this issue will make seek a different bank. This is more than an economic or political issue, it is about the future of the planet and our children. Fund alternative energies and stop funding pollution. Shareholders are not rotten selfish individuals, they also do also care about their children and the planet.
Surprisingly I found all staff members super friendly and pleasant. I didn't expect it. Very good experience!
A bunch of stuck up ass clowns , haha you just work in a bank. Customers of the bank pay your wages and for that we expect an element of respect and professionalism the staff here need some serious lessons in customer service. Worst experience in a commbank branch ever by far.
Luke was super friendly and helped me setting up my account.
I really dislike having to go into this local branch for anything. In my handful of experiences here I haven't found the staff particularly helpful or competent.
Awful service . Impatient employees. Opposite to what They advertise themselves to be .
Excellent staff! Very helpful & patient The customer service was outstanding! You have our business for life. Great experience for my sons.
Very rude staff. I can't remember his name but he clearly did not want to proceed with my work. I thought organisation teaches them how to deal with costumer
The team are lovely and helpful... however Comm Bank still leaves a lot to be desired. Despite their clean appearance the bank invested $3.9 billion in fossil fuels last year - the biggest funders in Australia. Coal - and fossil fuels in general - enhance environment degradation and global warming. Why not invest in renewables, AKA the cheaper, cost effective, environmentally sound source of unlimited power?
Lack of tellers
Worst teller service ever so rude!
Commonwealth bank Campbelltown there service is amazing the and very helpful. thank you Georgina
Helpful staff
Very popular ATM, they have two at least 👌
Should be -1 had a debt taken for state debt recovery and the bank has doubled the amount .. And have told me I must go into the bank to request I release my own funds of nearly $400 ..state debt has advised all clear on there end just the bank stopping this now . Called the conm bank ph centre " we don't have the facility to release your money only a branch can do this" what a load of thieves funds are there of my money but I have to ask for it back seriously
Its a back... what do you expect.
Every time I ring up, no one ever answers the phone, I left a message and no one called back. It seems like they never answer the phone.
Long queues often at this branch. Deposit atm machines are almost always out of service every weekend.
Very bad services! The bank manager and the staffs are very rude.
New branch....only 3 seats to sit on.
What a bloody joke.
My wife went there for a bank cheque for 'Lain & Simmons, Mount Druitt' . But they said without account no. of 'Lain & Simmons, Mount Druitt' they can't do that. I talked over phone with one staff and she confirmed me without account no. its not possible. However, I did same thing for 'R&W Rooty Hills' few months ago from Commonwealth Bank Parramatta branch and they are really helpful.
Don't go on pension day. This branch is always busy. Try to avoid it.
Bank is now understaffed .. they expect you to use there new crap automated tellers ..and have removed the business line and cut staff down .. wont be banking with them anymore cant afford to wait hours in line ..
The place is understaffed. They make a mistake and then dont care to make it right. They stuffed up i called them up to sort it out but the lady said she didnt have time to help me right now because she was too busy. Seriously? you screwed up, i already had to stand in line for half an hour and this is business banking too. we have a shop to run.
atm took money and no care in the world
Trading times of 9:30-4pm weekdays AND closed on weekends.
How are normal working people suppose to make it to your bank
Absolutely excellent!!! Upon reading these past reviews my expectations were set quite low but fortunately, i was proven wrong; the customer service was great and the people were very friendly. My experience with Ms Quach was a 10/10.
It was great!! I recently deposited some money at this bank and was kindly helped by a polite worker. No rudeness was shown and I recommend everybody to go here.
Worst experience ever, never write a review before but this bank is the worst, trying to withdraw $8000 dollar the line with only 10 people informer of me and 3 people severing at the counter but take me 50 minutes to line up wth seriously are they sleeping or just wanna waste time on the job.
Worst commbank . Takes 30min every time to get served! Hopeless!
Very friendly staff
Good service and friendly staff members
They got several ATM which are 24x7 service.Everything was ok but people are not aware of cleaning. There were so many receipt all over the places.Bank should provide a Bin and people shouldn't throw receipt here and there.
They have always been helpful and they have a floating door greeter which is always nice.
Pretty far from the entrance.
Operates the way all Commonwealth Banks do. Friendly, helpful and professional staff.
Always super helpful with friendly staff...been my bank since i was a little boy. 😊
customer service could be improved feels like some of the staff do not want to be there.
Big thank you to Rana best customer service very friendly n helpful
Line moves faster than some spots, sadly you have clueless staff trying to sell you online options. If I could do it online(I'm reviewing you online now.....) I would do it online. Wait in line, and cop bad customer service only because I can't avoid it. If I could do it on line, I would.
The worst service I've seen in my life
I think the service at the Commonwealth Bank is fantastic and I have been with the bank for 15 years now. It is for their excellent service that I have given them two stars. However, I was most disappointed to hear that the Commonwealth bank invested $3.9 billion dollars in fossil fuels last year and were Australia's biggest funder of fossil fuels. They are now reconsidering their environmental policy, and I really hope they realise that we need a clean energy future and this is in the best interest of everyone concerned. I would be really sad and disappointed if I had to change banks, so here's hoping Commbank opts for a clean and compassionate future!
I have banked with this branch for 20 years. They have always been very friendly and helpful. When I expressed that I was unhappy with Commbanks investments in fossil fuels and feel strongly enough to divest, I was given a very cold reception. So Unfriendly! I explained it was not personal or about their branch, but their response was icy. Commbank is the biggest funder of fossil fuels in Australia - the only one of the big banks still funding new coal projects. If Commbank cares about the future of Australias environment (and customer opinions) they should review their policies and attitudes.
Really excellent service from the teller, friendly and helpful.
Thanks for the service, Commbank!
Been caught trying to call for the last week picked up once said they would call back but never did 😒
Friendly service but sometimes things take longer than they should. There's often a long wait time even when there's only a few people in the queue.
Small branch with cash counting machine.
Friendly and helpful
Good facilities and great customer service. Convenient location as well
The worst CBA branch I’ve ever been to. Laziest staff. A blondie staff refused to do the money deposit through the counter and asked me to deposit money through ATM while there was no customer at all after me. It happened 2 times.
The lame reason she always tells customers is machine at counter can take much cash at a time. However next day I deposited the same amount of cash she put me through. What the heck!!! Guess she works according to her mood. Even I have to travel somewhere else further than this branch I will never ever come back here.
Now regretting for not lodging a complaint. Unprofessional attitude.
I like the people there.
robbed frequently llol
Do you want service at this bank? Then take a packed lunch and be prepared to wait. All I wanted was a simple withdrawal but walked out without even getting to the teller after waiting too look long
I had my account with CommBank for more than 20 years, but they are the biggest funder of the fossil fuel industry in Australia. That's disappointing.
Great staff, easy access
Fast and efficient with friendly staff and good customer service.
Really long wait time. They keep telling people to come in and take a seat because it won't be long. But it's a rediculously long wait.
The old lady very bad service
30 minute wait, no update.
More staff needed, the wait times are too long. However, they do provide a good service.
The bank made my pee pee hard
The Commonwealth Bank is a big funder of Fossil Fuel companies. It's time for this bank to put the future of the world above their profits. Current Affairs programs have said the Commonwealth Bank can deceive & manipulate people for the Bank's profit.
One star because the Board of the Commonwealth Bank rejected the Bank's proposed new climate policy & want a reviewed policy brought to the Board in 2 months' time.
very disapointed that Combank is the main funder of dirty coal.
we will do everything to avoid giving business to Combank until there is a change in this practice.
Great friendly staff clean nice bank.
Very friendly staff every time I go in.
Terrible staff... Not interested on solving yr problems if it gets them a bit more of their usual jobs
Really helpful ,
It was quiet when visiting but the service was friendly.
Good service
Helpful branch staff.
Had to go there 3 times to add a student status to my account and they never did it properly
As a grandmother I am deeply concerned that my grandsons will be living on a planet that is being polluted by toxic coal mines. I ask that your bank refrain from funding dirty coal and help renewable energy sources that are less toxic to mother earth. .
Agree with earlier comments that it is disappointing to know that Commbank are still supporting coal mining in this day and age.
Very upset to learn that Commbank was the biggest funder of fossil fuels in 2016. My parents were customers and both my brother and I followed suit. My children followed suit. One of my daughters switched to NAB recently to organise a home loan because of rude treatment in your branch when she requested information as to where the banks funds were invested. She had stopped to talk to activists against Adani outside and was told to leave or police would be called. She was in her lunch break and was not an activist but was carrying information given to her about Adani which is anyone's right........everyone has rights to information.
I have attempted to access this information concerning how Commbanks money is invested from both the Thirroul branch and the Corrimal branch and was given the media number. This number was not at all able to give the information we, as customers, have a right to know as it is our money you are investing. I am now in the process of closing my account and joining the Bendigo Bank. I have been able to get the information I need from this bank and am very happy with their customer service in this respect.
In this day and age the funding of new fossil fuel projects is not an option, if our country is to move forward into renewable energy, at the pace of other countries and do our share to reduce carbon emissions.
Friendly helpful staff
Very impressed with the quality and friendliness of the staff
Friendly staff
I like coal.
Appalled by Commonwealth Banks poor climate policies and funding of the Adani coal mine project. Was a dollarmite customer since primary school until hearing about Commonwealth Banks funding for the Adani coal mine. We should be investing in renewable energies and not supporting the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef.
Was a customer for over a decade, decided to go elsewhere as CommBank spent $3.9 billion last year funding coal projects. Please invest in renewable energy and a clean future for Australia.
Please get rid of the stairs at the side entrance...
Never had a problem with these branch up until their move into Ingleburn Village where I have witnessed new staff. Scammed $100 off of me after depositing which they refused ever happening and happily took the money I deposited. This concludes that their machines are faulty and definitely need to be maintained before this happens to another unlucky customer. DON'T TRUST THESE GUYS OR MACHINES WITH YOUR MONEY OR ACCOUNT!
Louise was helpful & polite. Great customer service.
Excellent service short waits.
Awesome smart ATM.
Tried calling them at 1:50 pm on Thursday and the phone rang off the hook multiple times.....pretty poor, same thing at Warriwood branch. Whats going on CBA? CAN..T
Staff are OK. BUT I'm so disappointed that CBA was the biggest funder of fossil fuels in 2016 in Australia. If they care about investing in the future they will stop funding dirty industries.
glad to see the climate policy has gone back to the drawing board. . Hope ti comes back to us better off for all of us
My husband and I have been customers of the Commonwealth Bank for many, many years. I am extremely disappointed that Comm Bank continue to fund fossil fuel projects - $3.9 billion invested last year alone. They continue to leave the prospect of funding the Adani coal mine that would see the commencement of the biggest coal mining area (Galilee Basin Qld) in Australia, the export of millions more tonnes of coal and CO2 and the death of the Great Barrier Reef. I am appalled that the Bank can't see reason, can't listen to what scientists all over the world are saying about Climate Change and won't change their investment policy. If Commbank won't rule out investing in the Adani mine, we will definitely be ruling out our continued business with this bank.
Helpful staff and short wait
They're always helpful with everything you need!
making a coin/cash deposit takes at least 5min. Half the coins are rejected for no reason.
Nice facility. Has a coin exchange machine to exchange notes for coins (and vice versa) outside the bank, adjacent to the regular ATM machines.
The staff are helpful, but I'm disappointed that Commonwealth Bank heavily funds projects contributing to global warming – reportedly the biggest funder in 2016. I'm glad that the board has asked the Bank to review its policies.
Not usually crowded... Regular banking hours...Mostly personal banking needs
Most horrible experience. Been here twice both times you have to wait to long time for awful service from 1 or 2 customer service reps with 20 or more customers waiting
Easily the dirtiest bank I've seen, the ATM room is filled with paper and rubbish. It's not designed for business users either. The deposit machine is normally down first thing in the morning, so you're stuck waiting for them to open at 9.30 and fix the issue.
Very busy branch and there is not enough workers
Multi-lingual bankers available
Nice and helping staff
I am the local people live in park street. CommBank park st branch customer service always good , but the ATM machines are very very dirty and stains everywhere。
Not pushing too hard... Fucked up hours as usual: opens at 9am closes at 4pm closed on weekends so you basically need a day off to do something. And having open access self service machine would hurt...
Bank discourages you from using the customer service desk/tellers and asks you to use the deposit machines at the front. Except for the massive line and the machine needing to recount money a million times and taking a million times longer. If your going to automate jobs, make it more accessible with more machines!
Hugely disappointing to find out Commonwealth Bank is the only bank still funding the coal project on the Great Barrier Reef. They've spent $3.9Billion in fossil fuels last year and pose a great threat to the future of the reef. This is a bank that cares more about profits that it's customers and it's country... take your money elsewhere!
Location...clean..convenient...
staff meet n greet when walking in.happy to walk you through anything u might need.
A good branch.
Simple cash transfer involved waiting behind 3 customers for 10 minutes then escorted to front self service "it will be quicker for you" to find same 3 customers waiting to be shown how to use the machine!! Of 4 banks for simple cash transfers St George was tops Comcan couldn't. Identity crisis? Do they think they are a supermarket?
Complete frustration with the commonwealth bank! I have been banking with them for years...our home loan was financed by them and have always paid my credit card bills on time. I was appalled to discover that because i was a few days late with this payment this month as I was having trouble accessing internet I would be charged a $20 late fee..on top of this interest would be charged on the full amount even if I paid it today...I spoke with someone from customer service who kindly accepted my feedback and offered to waive the fee ( mind you that would take 3 days and no interest to me!!) however in order to avoid interest on my credit card I had to pay the the total amount that would be due by the next month...in other words our good old Comm Bank was going to charge me interest for money that technically was not late!! Based on this in the last month alone I would have paid $38 in Comm fees and and earned $7 interest...no wonder they make such huge profits !!!
Let's do some sums here ....$38 per month by 12 months by how many customers do they have? $456 x 16.6 million customers ( according to their 2017 annual report)
"Commonwealth Bank of Australia (the Group) announced its results for the half year ended 31 December 2017 on Wednesday, 7 February 2018.
On a ‘continuing operations1’ basis, the Group’s statutory net profit after tax (NPAT) for the half year ended 31 December 2017 was $4,895 million, which represents a 1 percent increase on the prior comparative period. Cash NPAT was $4,735 million, a decrease of 2 percent. Return on equity (cash basis) was 14.5 percent."
I say bring on the royal commission into banking ...I can't wait ! I now plan to close my commonwalth bank accounts and take my business elsewhere...this is the only thing they will understand ...we need to vote with our feet
Oh and by the way Comm Bank....here's your vision...in case you have forgotten it!!!
