ComBank, get on board: don't fund the Carmichael mine

After learning that Commbank is still the biggest funder of fossil fuels in 2016, I went with a friend to talk to a staff member about this. We were treated well and taken into an office for a consultation. However we were advised that this information is not given out by staff and we would have to ring the media line. We were given this number. The media line does not divulge this information .....in fact this information is not accessible to the public, not even to an existing customer which I am. We were also advised that we would be notified of this information by mail at a later date. We have not received this information. I have since left the commonwealth bank.

Hugely disappointing to find out Commonwealth Bank is the only bank still funding the coal project on the Great Barrier Reef. They've spent $3.9Billion in fossil fuels last year and pose a great threat to the future of the reef. This is a bank that cares more about profits that it's customers and it's country... take your money elsewhere!
