Community Transport Central Coast Description

About Us
We are a not for profit Community Organisation with a voluntary Board of Management.
What Is Community Transport

The service offers transport to people in the community who are "transport disadvantaged"

That usually means that they have no transport of their own and have some difficulty in using mainstream public transport.

Passengers may be unable to walk from home to the bus stop or find it difficult to manage the steps of a normal bus. They may be in wheel chairs or use walking frames, stick etc or may suffer from some form of confusion, which makes travel difficult.

They may be permanently disabled or have some temporary health status that makes travel impossible for them. They may also belong to a youth group or other community group that has difficulty accessing the community for some reason.

HOW TO BECOME A PASSENGER
If you are in need of transport and have difficulty in accessing public transport give us a call and we may be able to assist you. We accept referrals from individuals, family members, doctors, nursing services and other service providers. We like to know that the prospective passenger knows that they’re being referred.
