Compost-A-Pak™ liners and reusable Shopping Bags are 100% Australian certified compostable liners, designed to improve the convenience of food waste collection and so inspire families to compost and recycle.

Compost-A-Pak bags are made from a natural starch-based polymer which is derived from corn. To make, third grade corn is specifically sourced from international regions with high levels of natural rainfall to minimise the environmental impacts of irrigation. Liners are then printed with soy based inks.

Our bags are certified to the stricter Australian standards, which means they breakdown in both industrial composting facilities after being collected with your green waste, and in your backyard composter at the same rate as your food scraps. Being certified to Australian standard AS4736-2006 means they are proven to leave no harmful residue in the soil, and instead provide you with a rich composted soil, full of retained nutrients, which can help your garden flourish.

Compost-A-Pak aims to improve the convenience of organic waste diversion and so inspire families to live more sustainably through small actions such as recycling and composting. Organic waste makes up approximately 47% of household waste in Australia, or 400 kilos of waste per household every year. When placed in landfill, this organic waste creates harmful carbon gases and liquid, which continue to escape and impact on our environment and animals for up to thirty years….
