I would rate them zero star, as I've experienced the worst treatment and service in getting my visas approved. After 4 weeks of constant correspondence, with no reply or being told just wait, going from Elizabeth St to Embassy, no-one wants to help you. The travel date is next Tuesday- 2 working days away & we still don't have our visas, and there is no explanation as to why. It looks like the whole family is going to miss out on our holiday to China, loose all $4000 and no body cares. Feeling extremely anxious, stressed and totally disappointed with the whole system.

If one of the parents has been granted a foreign nationality or has obtained an Australia "PR" at the time of birth of the child, the child should apply for a Chinese visa when travelling to China.

This statement was on their website. However, when I apply visa for my child, the staff told me, I have to apply travel permit document because one of the parents has not obtained Australia "PR" although the farther is Australia citizen. Then why do you declare above statement on both websites of Chinese embassy and visa application center?

If you prepare all the required documents in advance, the process is super quick. Turnover time around 20-30 mins with direct & helpful customer service.

Very poor customer service, the receptionist was very impatient and rude. My lawyer has done the same documents for many times, but was told the policy changed and needed to redo it. Waste of time, money and energy to deal with them. :(

New system. Walk in and walk out within 20mins. Very very very reasonable.

They have outsourced their visa application services to a private firm. It was a long wait. What are terrible way to say "China is open for business". Not happy!

The security guard were truely helpful. But my experience in this place is a real nightmare. Right infant of the consulate across the street there is a place named as ''Aurora Visa Service'' they cheated me and charged me for 400AUD. I asked the manager that are you related to consulate and he said yes we are part of the consulate and the only way to apply for Chinese visa!!!!!!!! Then they charged me 400 AUD. I went to consulate and found out that the manager of aurora visa service lied to me and they were only agents who cheated the applicants to proceed the visa application for them.

Totally agree with all complaints. It's like a free market. They stopped all type of applications other than online. Come on! Older Chinese doesn't even know how to go on online! They went to the consulate and waisting time again and again. You can everyone get frustrating face there even the consulate. How funny! Mr Xi, you should really do something about it before it's getting the worst.

It is a bit confusing to have opening hours and contact numbers put together. They don't really answer phone calls in the opening hours. Call between 2-5pm for phone consultation. Email was responded to within 24 hours. All in all, not very straightforward for general consultation, but much better than a lot of other local community services and government departments.

No answer with phone call and delivery failed with email.. fix your email address N hire more ppl to answer the damn phone ...

Visited them this morning. Was completely amazed by their services! The business process and customer service is so much better compared to last time I visited them about ... 10 years ago! Keep up the good work! Suggestion: post service :)

How come the opening hours are so weird - not very suitable for working people.
The most useful person there is the security guard because he understood english and tried to help.
Most of the other staff there are cold.....
