I am at odds whether to give 3 or 4 stars, as I've had different experiences each visit, some days I am proud, others ashamed. But all in all I don't understand what's the story with phones being so busy, I really don't get it... why can't there be someone to answer? It's a disaster, they really should improve this. And what's with the slow website, keeps crashing, come on guys, you can do better than this :/

We were pleasantly surprised by quite a good service. Staff were very friendly and helpful! The waiting room could be designed and arranged better though ))

Don't listen bad reviews because this is not embassy fault when people ring them in hours when they don't answer phone or when people didn't check all information of site and get frustrated on appointment about it.
I was in embassy several times for different reasons and everything was nice and appropriate.
Many times I saw in embassy crazy visitors who blame embassy staff for their own mistakes. Sorry but its childish behaviour.
I'm proud of Russian embassy and think they are like a good family there.

Sent my passport over 2 weeks ago from Melbourne. It was tracked and had signature required however AU post aren't able to see where it's got to. I've email the Russian Consulate three times. No reply.

I've tried calling several times and get through to a voice message saying they can only take calls after 3pm. Call again after 3pm and another voicemail says to send an email or go to their website.

All I want to know is if they have my passport or if it is lost. I wouldn't want to have to do this in a rush!

Dear Russian Consulate in Sydney, Thank you to the consul and the staff for outstanding service! The staff and consul was very professional and nice. If you prepare all paperwork according to the website instructions and confirm any questions or concerns over the phone / email, you won't have any problems.
Dont really see a reason why people would complain. Everything works well when you have all documents ready. Service is great, staff are fantastic. Thank you all for your services.

I needed to go through recognition of my Russian citizenship prior to obtaining my passport. The whole process was lengthy and costly. Konstantin Shuvalov assisted me. He was very professional and accommodating. All my questions have been answered patiently. He responded to all my emails in a timely manner. God bless this man.

I must admit that service here is great now. It used to be horrible, not anymore. Notary guy was very nice and helpful. Massive improvement! Thumbs up:)

I have no words! it has been horrific in all my 4 visits to the place. I don't know how other sections work, but window #2 - notary - is a major pain and frustration. It seems to me that Mr Kovalko's work is to try hard and find the reason to say "no" to any request that he gets. He is exceptionally rude and unhelpful. Keeps to the time but finds it normal to turn up at 0945 to work for his 0900 appointment. Shame!
