A program designed for kids aged between 2 & 5 yrs. The aim is to introduce basic dance principals (rhythm, poise) through creative movement & imagination.

Cotter’s Little Leapers is a program specifically designed for children aged between 2 and 5 years. The aim of Cotter’s Little Leapers is to introduce basic dance principals including poise, rhythm and music appreciation through creative movement and imagination.

Not only are our classes great for a children’s physical health and development, our classes are a great opportunity for children to make friends, develop social skills and improve concentration. Children learn their role as a class member and learn to follow instructions in a nurturing environment.

What sets Cotter’s Little Leapers apart from the rest, is the unique dance style behind the program. Scottish Highland Dancing! Children dance along to their favourite nursery rhymes as basic Highland movements are subtly incorporated. Highland Dancing dates back to the 19th century and is an artistic yet athletic form of dance with some Ballet-like movements. In recent years “The Wiggles” have learnt to do the Highland Fling and tour the world and spread their love for Highland Dance!
