CRC CARE brings together industry, government, science and engineering to prevent, assess and clean up environmental contamination.

CRC CARE is an independent organisation that performs research, develops technologies and provides policy guidance for assessing, cleaning up and preventing contamination of soil, water and air.

By working with the people and organisations that deal with contamination – including the mining and petroleum industries, state environmental regulators, government organisations, and environmental consultants – our world-class researchers create solutions to real-world problems.

Our independence permits us to act as an honest broker of information on contamination issues, and ensures that we understand points of view from different (and at times opposed) sectors.

CRC CARE also engages with leading environmental research groups and universities overseas, including the USA, China, Singapore, India and Germany. Our international reach allows us to tap into the latest thinking globally and perform research in a wide range of environments. When possible, we tailor our overseas research for Australian economic, environmental and climatic conditions.
