Creative State Description

Creative State is the home of actor, writer, director Paul Caesar.

Since graduating from the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art in 1992 with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art in Acting, Paul has worked as an actor, writer and director. Paul's professional credits range far and wide; he has worked on the television dramas Tricky Business, All Saints, Home and Away, and Water Rats, and his film performances include Crosslife, which premiered in June 2007 as a part of the Sydney Film Festival, and the Edgerton brothers film, The Square. Paul's theatre credits include King Lear with the Sydney Theatre Company.

Paul has been a regular tutor at NIDA since 2006. His plays Redemption: Through the Eyes of Shakespeare (2008), Beth (2009), The Invalid Rehearsal (2010) and Grounded (2011) have all been performed by NIDA's Drama Studio. The latter three will be published in 2013 in his compilation, GRIT: 3 Plays for Teenagers - a publication that will join Paul's 2010 work, Individual Performance: 20 Original Scripts for HSC Drama.

Paul shares his knowledge through coaching, workshops and showreel production where his natural knack for teaching in a straight-forward, experiential and accessible way has been inspiring and motivating students for 15 years.
