If I could give them no stars I would!

Literally the most horrible human captivity unit. The nurses do not care at all for the patients. Able to sit having panic attacks right out front the nurses unit (which has 3-6 nurses in it at all times) and not even get an "are you okay?" This is ridiculous. Does not supply counselling, does not supply any type of therapy. Doctors and nurses do not care about patients wellbeing, nor do they really care about the patients mental health, which is funny considering it's a mental health hospital. Absolutely horrible place to go. I highly reccomend never ever going to Cumberland. If you are experiencing issues with your mental health, do not go to Cumberland. Patients have come out worse, and even if they really do need to be somewhere in a hospital, the environment of Cumberland is just so bad that they're probably safer out of there.
Cumberland's doctors do nothing to benefit the mental health of patients and instead, are happy to just hand out pills like Valium to patients instead of actually talking to them.
As well as this, the hospital genuinely looks as though it's straight out of a horror movie. The hospital does not look as though it's been renovated since 1870. It is extremely scary and uninviting, the opposite of what a mental health hospital should be like.
Nurses are rude, unsupportive, unhelpful, and don't care about their paitents. When things get too tough, patients are sedated.
This place is literally just human captivity. It is worse than jail. I honestly do not reccomend even walking through it.

The psychiatrist there are so useless that all they do is stare at you, how the he'll does that help anyone? Nada!

If you ask them to give you something to help sleep they simply shrug you off and make you feel like you're worthless and not even give you the time of day!

this facility is horrid. the nursing staff do not do anything to assist patients. nurses swore at, yelled and treated patients with no consideration. On my first morning I was not aware of the processes and tried to ask when i get to see my doctor, and got yelled at for asking "the wrong nurse". I also was yelled at by an intake nurse becuase I started crying when he said my weight out loud after my request for him not to say it, just write it (i have an eating disorder)

when having a panic attack, directly outside the nurses station, no one assisted me until it was over and i asked if i could go to bed early - their response was to hand me a valium and send me away.

I left feeling more suicidal and depressed, however pretended i was feeling great so that I was able to be released.

Horrible place. It's actually a jail not a hospital. A place to make your depression worse and you have to fake that you are getting better so that they will let you out.

An unprofessional bunch of negligent quacks run this hellhole. I Received far more efficacious treatment from a single psychiatrist elseware. The negligence team said after three weeks and 6 ect treatments "we can't help you Jason". Pathetic.

I was thinking to myself., why a dr here.Would say this and i quote," What that other dr gave you i don't know why he did, he shouldn't have given you that" and "You were right aaron, Isotretinoin has been known to cause these symptoms you are talking about" I know i was right, because i have a micro-chip on my property wanting to get more evidence so i can make an imformed decision with me and my personal collegues to get it removed. And if a dr doesn't know about that," then they shouldn't be a dr at all" that's what i heard.At least that's what i was told. And by the way, i came in by myself i'm not a new born baby. I was the one who told a responsible person to inform you of my situation.from the beginning they get the same kind of social workers the same kind who speak all the same language and pretend not to know each other, saying.. "ohh maybe i can come over to your house and meet your sister", and have spliffs. I have parents and also i'm an adult. With an Adult case. and "I'm discharging you, the way you made noodles is incredibe! umm No.they thnk they are going to buy the micro chip and the social workers and going to get cleaned up pot heads to see me again. nm dw. they said dont involve me, and you know what? they were right.

Horrible place, the doctors and nurses lack human skills. It lacks scope for people with different kinds of problems. They ask questions designed to annoy people. You are treated like a prisoner upon entering and its a shady/dodgy place with freaky staff that can't talk properly. Very racy as well. The staff look like their all on pills and only care about their jobs and kissing up to their owners. The doctors thrive off annoying people to make an attempt to put them on drugs which they do not require.

Why the person that thinks she should say these things about a place that wants to help people in need so get f bitch That's treats this place is something else Lisa and her staff brilliant Dr Alex a crusader for me I have nothing but excellent for her I think she saved my life, not that I can say about gsm pharmaceuticals and I was a diversity personal thanks to hr especially Pauline nadsar
