Daewoo International Corporation is a Global Trading and Investing company, being the largest in South Korea - one of the 10 largest countries by international trade. We have almost a half-century history since 1967 and in 2010, it became an Affiliate of POSCO Group. Our business areas are extensive including Steel, Chemicals, Non-ferrous metal, Machinery, Automotive components, Commodity and Industrial electronics. Among them, Steel is indeed the corporate's key business proven by abundant experience and continuous expansion with successful results. While Daewoo is acting as an only in-house trading arm for POSCO, we also closely working with qualified steel mills across the world. We, Daewoo's Representative Office in Australia is a marketing driver for our Headquarter toward Australian market (and its neighbours such as NZ, PNG and Fiji). For creating business, we investigate local market demands, meet customers and provide trading solutions in which Daewoo's know-how serves local needs. Thus, for steel trading, we deal with local demands for steel varying by types and forms such as HR, CR, GI, GL, GA, EG, Painted, STS in a form of coil, sheet, wire or tube /pipe. Of course, conformity to Australian standard or the relevant international standards is within the basic scope of our ability.
