Peter and Caroline Tuohey invite you to view their company details and attributes.

Peter Tuohey has serviced the Murrumbidgee farming district for the past twenty five years, and has consistently proven his expertise in crop application management, both in the contracting field and on his own two irrigation and dry land properties.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Data Processing) from La Trobe University, and also has his private pilot’s license.

He managed and worked in his parents’ contracting business between 1991 and 2006. In July of 2006 he and Caroline purchased the contracting machinery and took on the existing contracts under the name of
Daisy Lodge Pty Ltd.

Caroline Tuohey is originally from Carrathool. Her family owned and worked a beef cattle property. She then studied and worked in Melbourne, Griffith, and Canberra, before returning to Carrathool following her marriage to Peter.

She holds a Bachelor of Business (Office Management) from Deakin University.

She worked alongside Peter on their properties, and in Peter’s parents’ contracting enterprise between 2000 and 2006, and then subsequently in her own company, once it purchased the business. Prior to that, she was the Office Administrator at the Rural Industries R& D Corporation (RIRDC) and prior to that, worked at Anderson’s Accounting in Griffith.

In 2012 Peter and Caroline formed a partnership with Anthony and Racheal Webber and purchased Coonara.

In 2014 Peter and Caroline sold their share in Coonara to the Webber’s and invested in the grower-owned gin RivCott, of which they were one of the founding shareholders and Peter a current Director.

In 2013 Peter and Caroline formed a partnership with business associates Andrew Webber and Yvette Seiffert to form a specialized cotton picking enterprise called Bidgee Cotton. This enterprise operates two 7760 John Deere cotton pickers and supports local cotton farmers in the Riverina. A detailed outline of this enterprise is featured in later pages.

In 2015 Peter and Caroline received Cotton Australia's 'AgriRisk High Achiever of the Year' Award.
