DAPA was the first complete performing arts academy to open in Newcastle and continues to be a leading entity. DAPA has been operating for 28 years. DAPA is unique in as far as it has its own theatre where many award winning productions for both children and adults are performed. Students have many opportunities to perform on their own stage. Students have achieved the heights of appearing on Home & Away and been accepted in to NIDA & WAAPA

DAPA specialises in all genres of dance including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and also excels in musical theatre, drama, singing and piano. Students have the opportunities to participate in Eisteddfods, and the annual concerts for both Dance, Drama & Singing.

DAPA is honoured to teach the Les Griffith Syllabus of Tap Dancing and students are encouraged to complete exams each year in this highly esteemed genre of dance. Our elite performance group represents the studio whilst competing in local dance competitions and public appearances.
