The Space

Dantosa provides you with a secluded 9 acre estate with numerous walking paths, private gardens, it's own private lake, a tennis court, and tonnes of fresh air. It is 5 minutes from the the famous Blue Mountains - a World Heritage National Park.

Originally a goat farm, the property has a 30-year-old established Blue Mountains garden and accommodation in two buildings - Dantosa House and adjacent Dantosa Cottage.

Dantosa House has a modern elegance with a gourmet kitchen and spacious terrace overlooking the lake. The large living area includes a Norwegian wood fireplace and the house has central heating. Dantosa House sleeps up to 9 people, in 4 bedrooms (3 doubles, 3 singles).

Dantosa Cottage was the original farmhouse and sleeps up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 3 singles). It also has views over the gardens and lake.

Guest Access

At Dantosa you will enjoy total privacy. As one guest put it, “you live in a beautiful oasis, and yet you are only minutes away from restaurants, shops and the national park. ” Enjoy a game of tennis, canoeing on the lake, a game of boules or a stroll in the beautiful gardens. After a day’s bushwalking, come back to luxury – arrange for a local chef to cater for your group, take a spa bath, or simply gather around the log fireplace with a glass of wine and your friends. Enjoy the garden’s distinct four seasons: fields of daffodils in the spring, a 100m wall of multi-coloured hydrangeas in the summer, the remarkable fall colours and the early morning frosts in winter.

Interaction with Guests

The entire property is yours during your stay. You have access to an off-site manager should you have questions, otherwise you can enjoy to Dantosa Mountain Resort with your family and friends. It's also ideal for small corporate retreats. Dantosa awaits.

The Neighbourhood

Dantosa is situated in the heart of a leading World Heritage Site. It offers stunning vistas, enthralling walks and rich fresh air, flora and of course, Australian fauna. The villages of Katoomba and nearby Leura offer great restaurants, whole food outlets, arts and craft shopping and boutiques, and cafes a plenty. There is also a brand new cultural museum which provides you with insights to the local Aboriginal people, their culture and way of life.

Getting around

Dantosa is located just under two hours from Sydney. You can drive by car, train or catch a tour bus. Dantosa is a five minute taxi ride from Katoomba. Let us know if you need any help with transport and we can assist with your planning.

Other Things to Note

Dantosa has a large lake which is lovely to swim in, particularly during summer. It's a little too cold for most during winter! Please be careful with young ones and non-swimmers. The lake is in a natural setting and has no fencing. You need to take care and make sure non-swimmers are always watched when near the lake. Responsibility for safety is personal. Adults are solely responsible for supervising children in the lake and around the property. You and your guests swim at your own risk.

Dantosa is much sought after. In keeping with demand, there are minimum booking periods and nightly rates vary depending on timing of your stay. Rates change during peak times such as school and public holidays. Our tariffs are set out below. Airbnb's pricing does not allow us to reflect the combination of tariffs, so please check with us for a quote. From time to time, we will offer discounts for lower demand periods. Please enquire.

The tariffs have been sectioned off in off-peak, peak /school holidays, long weekends, Christmas, New Years and Easter periods.

Tariffs are based on 8 people.
