Dear Dagger

My name is Marc and aside from being 6'2, German, Sydney based and sporting a sharp beard, I'm the face or the hands behind Dear Dagger. Before the brand and the beard came two decades of creative work; I started off as an intern graphic designing in an advertising agency, then worked my way into the role of a junior art director, lead designer and now, creative director. While I love what I do, I think a creative outlet is the key to keeping oneself grounded and excited for the future. That's what Dear Dagger originated as … an outlet, an idea. Now it's expanded and to say I'm thrilled to be able to put this creativity and my attention to detail forward for other lovers of leather to enjoy would be a severe understatement. I'd like to emphasise the "hand" in "handmade"; because each item is designed, cut and sewed in Sydney's inner west suburb of Marrickville. We eliminate the middle man, that is the sewing machine, in order to provide unique designs, texture, and detail in each piece. Binding leather together with the mischief of a Miscreant, the precision of an Archer, the heart of a Wanderer, and the craft of a Hunter.
