Dee Why General Practice

Great doctors that spend time with you, I had been to 2 skin specialists look at a dent I had on my forehead and they both said it was nothing to worry about. The GP I showed at Dee why general practise told me that she did not like the look of it and did a biopsy that came up as a BCC, I was lucky as it was a infiltrating type that had now been there over 3 years. I had MOHs surgery within the month and got the all clear that it had not spread into my nerves yesterday. Great job and now I will always get a second opinion.

I've read a lot of people complaining that they don't take new patients. I went there as a new patient yesterday and had no problems. I think people need to pull there heads out and realise how busy a place like this can get. Be happy that we live somewhere where you can actually get service like this. Rant over

Extremely rude and unhelpful women on the front desk make this an awful event, I think the toxic reception environment has been so shockingly bad for so long they don't even notice it.
Do yourself a favour and go to the medical centre on the ground level instead

A bit of luck of the draw with doctor choices, all of the good ones are in high demand and are impossible to see same day or short notice which is important as a mother. My last experience was an infected wound which a GP failed to diagnose, had we started antibiotics at that point it never would be as severe as it is today.

Good practice. Helpful doctors. Don't book online... doesn't work, appointments get denied.

Booked an open appointment yesterday on the GP4Me app for 12:15p today. Got a call mid-morning from front desk girl (very rude) asking if I had made an appointment to see Dr at 12:15p. I said, "yes" and she says, "oh well, no, you didn't get a confirmation email." I said, "ok, well can I see a Dr today?" She says, "are you a new patient?" I say, "yes I am. I was referred to you from a friend". She says, "oh, sorry then, one of our existing patients booked that time as well and there isn't anyone that can see you today." Then I go online again, and see an open spot with the same Dr at 3:30p, yet she says no one can see me today. Called Dee Why Medical Centre, and she was able to squeeze me into see someone.

Very disappointing that this practice and their customer service would treat the community this way, especially new patients and people in need. Had I known they were going to call me and cancel an appointment I made, I would have gone somewhere else this morning. Now I'm stuck trying to find someone to see me today and am in a ton of pain. Do not recommend this horribly unprofessional office. I'm sure the Dr's are great, but the front office staff managing the business are rude and unprofessional. Recommend Dee Why Medical Centre, always accommodating, and always kind and professional.

Have been a patient since close to opening of the practice and I have some serious chronic health issues after military service. I have seen almost every doctor at the practice and on the whole they are all excellent. There are some stand outs though, Romayne Moore, Michael Kwan, Tim Harpur, Derek Moore, Jess Leech. There are a few new to the practice doctors I have note seen so can't comment, but these guys were top notch.
