Hi and thank you for visiting my page!

Deez Kitchen is purely my creative realm. It came about with a lot of persistence and encouragement from my husband, family and all my friends – to share my inspiration of everything food with the world out there and allow for an enriching, authentic and contemporary, Indian cuisine experience.

It is NOT a restaurant, and it is definitely not my intention to compete with any restaurants.

So really, what is it?

Essentially a weekend relish.
Our weekends are precious and often shared in the company of people we enjoy being with. I truly believe good, quality food lends an opportunity to enhance togetherness and rekindle the joys of everything 'Indian' that we terribly miss from back home. And that's what I have on offer.


How does it work?

For a select few weekends each month, I offer an Indian speciality – classic, contemporary or a purely creative list of options you can choose from. Based on the number of orders received, I then source the ingredients and the produce and prepare it from scratch, in batches, for each family /order.

But what about other weekends, what when you have a gathering which requires more than just the weekend relish, or falls outside of the weekend relish dates?
Let's chat - happy to design menu options that will appeal most to your guests and your requirements, and if it falls outside of the weekend relish options or dates - we can work it out!


So what’s special about that, you may ask?

To put it simply, it is quality. It is flavor. And – it’s very, very Indian.

My focus and inspiration is to get the very thing that eludes us all here in most Indian restaurants – flavor, simplicity, authenticity. So, it’s definitely not going to be sweet, not going to be a bulk meal to satisfy a million taste-buds. It is made to your-order. If you want it a certain way, let me know, more than happy to work around what you and your guests will enjoy!

Coming from a background in television, journalism and events, every ounce of me goes into making ‘food’ an experience that is creative, real and enjoyable. I really believe that if you want great food, it is the delicate, intricate things that matter. Not everything needs a tomato-onion paste or an overdose of garlic and curry.

Quality comes from simplicity, the right hint of spices and the essential aromatic burst to surely make your taste-buds do a cartwheel!

** And well, it is my hope that this page offers more than just food. What I do (truly) hope this does, is inspire creativity within you, egging you on to want to push your own boundaries and revisit your own culture, cuisine in your very own kitchen, right now! There's a lot to celebrate with the diversity of food, bursting with the subtleties of one's culture, upbringing and so much more. . . it fosters unity and friendship in the most natural, effortless ways, and that's why perhaps I am so drawn to it myself.

I hope this page serves as that gentle reminder of the uniqueness inherent in life, in food, in all of us. . . and hope everyone can experience just how exhilarating it is to pour a (little) part of us to create something for the sake of our very own ever-expanding circle(s) of influence #powertoallhomechefs : )
