Who's a ski bunny?! β›„πŸ‚β›·οΈ The ski season can mean harsh conditions for your skin. Not only is the air dryer than it is in other months, but when you ski, you're dealing with the reflection of the sun off the snow. Believe it or not the sun's rays from snow reflection (known as albedo!) can mean more UV exposure than if you'd spent a day at the beach during the Summer! 😱 It's important that you protect the barrier between your skin and the elements so your skin doesn't age pre...maturely. Barrier protection is our middle name! Message us if you plan on hitting the slopes this Winter and want to keep your bunny-cute skin. 🐰

We know you've heard about Vitamin E, but do you know why it's so good for you and your skin? Vitamin E is a vital ingredient if you want soft, supple skin. Studies have shown that it plays an important role in protecting the skin from environmental damage, which is why it's also been dubbed the "protective vitamin". It's anti-inflammatory properties protect cells from damage caused by oxygen radicals and it aids in wound healing. As if we needed even more reasons to love it, it also prevents premature skin ageing as a result of things like sun exposure, and is a powerful moisturiser. Is this an ingredient missing in your skincare regime?

What's not to love about a hot chocolate and warm tootsies by the fire in winter, but cold weather brings dry air! πŸ§¦β˜•πŸ”₯ What winter means for your skin is that you should exfoliate less, avoid too many hot showers and baths and moisturise with a moisturiser that actually works! Keeping the skin moisturised is hardest in winter due to the low humidity (dry air). So what's the solution? Oleogel Plus, that's what!
... Oleogel Plus contains only high quality emollients (skin softeners & smoothers) and is virtually free from water. It is thixotropic, which means it liquefies quickly when applied and melts into the skin easily. The skin softening ingredients contained in Oleogel Plus are triglycerides, flower, waxes, phosphatidylcholine and avocado oil. These precious emollients are highly concentrated and have a close affinity to the natural skin lipids, so only small amounts are needed for perfect skin protection.
In other words - Oleogel keeps the moisture in and forms a barrier to keep the harsh conditions out!
Your skin needs Oleogel now more than ever!
Message us for more info or head to our clinic finder to save your skin from the harsh effects of winter.

Great post @kai_atkinson1 ! Thanks for sharing the great info! πŸ‘ŠπŸ”₯
My NEW custom blended @dermaviduals serum! Read on to learn about the benefits of these AMAZING actives! No hype, just results. πŸ‘Š Vitamin A: πŸ₯• Supports regeneration of skin conditions and is impeccable for those suffering from acne and rosacea.... Encourages/supports collagen formation with visible skin smoothing. Less is best when it comes to Vitamin A so start slow! There are Vitamin A receptors within the cellular membrane of the skin so it’s best to not overload them or you can end up with a retinol reaction. Supports and strengthens the innate immune system. Vitamin C: 🍊 Supports/strengthens the formation of collagen and elastin strands. Protects the skin against the invasion of β€˜free radicals’ causing damage to our DNA. Supports the innate immune system and prevents the formation of melanin spots. Anti-inflammatory and prevents the formation of pigmentation. Coenzyme Q10: πŸ’₯ Present in every cell of the body and is important for mitochondria health and cellular respiration (oxygen intake). Increases cellular energy and proliferation. Boosts collagen production and provides powerful anti-oxidant properties. Supports/stimulates microcirculation within the skin. (Although the MANY mitochondria throughout my body hasn’t decreased in numbers, it’s always best to support the POWER HOUSE of your cells). Kiwi Seed: πŸ₯ Very high content of Omega 3 (EFA). Powerful anti-inflammatory for those with reddened skin. Calming and soothing for irritated and barrier impaired skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and acne tarda (dry acne). Boswellia: 🌼 Inhibits enzymes which induces the breakdown of collagen and elastin inflicted via UVR exposure. Calming and smoothing (anti-inflammatory). Strengthens the structural integrity and barrier function of the skin; which in turn makes it excellent for those suffering with inflammatory skin conditions.

Vitamin C loves rolling up it's sleeves and doing the dirty work! πŸ’ͺ There are two forms of Vitamin C: ascorbic acid and ascorbyl palmitate. Both work in synergy together and have many favourable effects on the skin, helping to: 1. Prevent free radical formation 2. Stimulate and regulate collagen production 3. Repair photo-damage... 4. Reduce the appearance of hyper-pigmentation Both also function as effective oxygen scavengers and antioxidants as they help to neutralise free radicals and reduce the amount of oxidative stress and damage to the cells.

Babies and puppies? πŸ•πŸ‘Ά What on Earth do they have to do with each other?! πŸ€” We're glad you asked! dermaviduals Olegel is a great product for babies, as it protects their precious skin from drying out as well as nappy rash and other skin issues many newborns have. We all know that collagen and elastin production slows with age. But the good news is retinyl palmitate (vitamin A) can help! HOW? Vitamin A is a cell to cell communicator, encouraging skin cells to continue their renewal process and regenerate the production of collagen and elastin. Does cells renewing and regenerating sound good to you? Yes! It does to us too!... Retinyl palmitate (aka vitamin A) protects the skin and supports regeneration, but is less irritating and more gentle than other forms of vitamin A (like retinol), which is great for sensitive skin. It is also an effective anti-oxidant. But wait, there's more! Vitamin A is even more beneficial when combined with vitamin's C and E!
