DFTS was originally established in 2017 by Mana Ohori, who was inspired to start the business after working in the jewellery industry at the end of her engineering studies in Sydney, Australia. As she started work, she discovered that she could apply her skills in science and engineering to produce special-occasion and engagement rings and jewellery that wouldn't cost the earth.
