Love DigiDirect normally but found people at this store weren’t helpful with advice on gopros. They told me you couldn’t buy something (as in the manufacture didn’t sell it) that I found on there online store as soon as I left.

Great store with an amazing selection of cameras, lenses as well as accessories and bags. Good range of Ona bags on show too. Staff have been really good every time I’ve been in, attentive and helpful. Also very helpful when processing online orders to be picked up in store.

After another example of excellent customer service from the Sydney store, I'm reminded why these guys are my automatic go-to for any camera gear in Sydney.

Came here to get my passport photos taken. First go got rejected by their machine as my make up was too reflective (didn't even know that was a thing) and they helped me retake the photos again after I wiped most of my shimmering powers off my face LOL and it was accepted. Good service and their machine have built in criteria on passport photo standards so that you won't face any problems when submitting your applications. $20 for a set of 4.

Poor unethical service

I bought a Nikon 50mm F1.4 from DigiDirect in Sydney and didn`t open the box for a few weeks. Note that the box does not have any tamper protection. Once I did open it, I found that it didn`t focus. The focus ring wasn`t working somehow. It didn`t work manually or with autofocus.

I took it back to DigiDirect and they said Nikon’s policy is defective items need to be returned within two weeks. To add insult to injury, they rang me up and told me I had to pay to get it fixed.

To summarise, I received a defective product. No replacement was offered. Plus, Nikon insist I pay over $200 for their defect.

I have over the last 18 months bought a D810, a F2.8 70-200m, a 14-24mm and this 50mm lens.

It is unreasonable for a global quality brand to treat loyal customers like this. It is unreasonable to need to check something at the point of purchase to make sure it works. It is also unethical and illegal under Fair Trade laws.

I have no choice but to write these negative comments. I placed an order for a Sony camera lens in store on 25 June. I was told that it would be a 3-4 week wait for the shipping but I will be ahead of other orders which were placed on the internet. After 4 weeks, I spoke to the staff in store and I was told that I am the 2nd in the queue to receive the product. Now it has been over 6 weeks, I am still waiting. This is simply not acceptable. I do not know anywhere else that will let customers wait for over 2 months for a commonly available Sony camera lens.

I requested a full refund but was told that only store credit can be given. No cash can be refund under their policies. Very disappointing.

Camera itself is great but I wasn't impressed with the service. I checked to ensure the product was in stock and organised a courier to pick it up - it wasn't ready when the courier arrived even though this was arranged with the store prior and the store didn't notify me either, even though I expressed the urgency. As a result, no camera for the photoshoot. I sent an email raising my disappointment which they opened 5 times but never bothered to respond to.
Should have bought locally.

Finding this store online with reasonable prices, I assumed it was your typical grey import dealer.. Surprised to see they had stores across Australia.. Purchase online and pickup in store was easy.. Friendly staff, good range, great prices.

fantastic service. I called up a bunch of places looking for a particular lens i needed and Jarod was fantastic. There was one left at the store and he set it aside for me until i got there. Much better service than i got from Teds

Bought a brand new lens 85.4gm 3months ago
Found marks on inner element
Asked replacement on 32days (was at melbourne) during 28-31days of purchase
They keep told me cant replace coz 32days old.
Guess how many ppl will see inside of lens with flash light. Period doesnt matter in this case.
Sent to repair, got worse,

They asked me "Does it effect on image?"
"YES IT DOES, there are mark on foreground bokeh"

According to their mind, they think all following case are brand new sellable item,

Went to sony, they replaced to me

Always went to either bondi or cbd or brought friends to them spent $5500,$4000 but never buy them from them again, since this worst service I had.
I spent $6000 on the other shop in last 2months

Ordered on internet item avalaible pick up Sydney CBD. They take your money. You receive 3 emails for your order update and a 4th one item not in stock. Will be only Sydney next Sunday, money taken from PayPal foreign account. Foreign commissions I will have to pay. Thank you Digidirect for your wrong stock updates.

Very reluctant to explain anything to you other than their payment options... Staff could be more patient, more polite and more active when dealing with their customers.

I strongly agree with what the other commenter have said, DO NOT go to them if you have other camera stores that you can visit, and do your own research if you have to.

I did buy a micro 4/3 lens from them along with some other accessories, I will give their product 4 starts, but staff only deserve ONE.
